I didn't put a mature content filter on this because.... it isn't gory or violent in anyway (no titties or private parts showing either) Yes, the child is dead, but from natural causes. I tried to paint it in a way that was obviously dark and sad, but also beautiful. If some people get buttburt over it, then gtfo.

I wanted to paint something serious for once. Part of Marcella's backstory before she became a vampire (she was a 16th century Hungarian noblewoman). She had several miscarriages and now, this. Tho, this child is her last because she was 43 at the time. She never understood why she could never keep a child. Was it nature's way of saying "no, you cannot have children"? Was it God's way of saying this? She never understood it.

After this, her then husband began to treat her like shit, a useless woman who could not bare him a child. It was HER fault the children were dying, why could she not do anything right?

Then at a ball, she met Septimus, who had been eyeing her ever since she was a young girl. He approached her and told her he understood the loss of a child, he knew the pain, for he had lost one himself. And then he made Marcella his, taking her away from the wretched human world.

But yea... this took forever to paint :') I never painted a baby before so I tried my best to make her look "realistic". And Marcella's fucking hands gave me nightmares. Uggggggggh I suck so bad at painting realistic hands. T-T And just nevermind her swollen head, I know it's giant. loool
