Description
EDIT: I painted over his nose because it bothered me for years. ._. (3-10-15)My shark man/merman character “Delmar”. Yeah, you may have known him as “Aiji” but I didn’t like that name anymore since it was from my first few months of studying Japanese.
I used SAI and several references. I’m nervous about the quality of the coloring…
Plus it took over 12 friggin' hours! XD

I enjoyed watching this process. It was very enlightening for me, though, I don't think I will be able to apply anything that well. It was a long process but yay it got done~

Wow, that looks really nice! You're really good at coloring/shading anatomy and muscles. I really like the rough, sketchy style of coloring too, it adds a really nice feeling and ambient to it and I think it works really well with the fact that the lower half of his body is a shark. I love the swirling lights and how it's dark at the bottom, it's really eye-catching and his flowing hair is amazing! Don't be nervous about the coloring, I love how this looks and the whole coarse feel to it coupled with the flowing water and hair. (wants to play with his hair so badly, it looks so thick!)
