Description
"Beyond the Fields of Asphodel, where the souls wander in sorrow,
beyond the Acheron waters,
there I will wait for your return.
I walk away around shadows,
listening moans of pain and despair,
but the voices of thousand ghouls
will not ease your memory in my head.
And now that leaves fall around Earth,
a golden carpet will lead you to me.
And with the cold wind of the winter,
six pomegranate seeds do their duty.
Here, deep in the Underworld
you will find our ebony throne,
and your voice of promises and whishes
will bring life to the eternal dreamers."
My own version of Hades & Persephone. In the picture I portrayed they both, with Cerberus. At the left we can see Charon in his boat and the river Acheron, and in the other side the river Phlegethon, made of fire.
There's a step by step of this one here: [link]
Done in Photoshop.

I remember seeing this picture as part of a wallpaper once and now I know where it came from. I liked it then, and now knowing it's Hades and Persephone I enjoy it even more!

At first, it was a bit disconcerting to see both of the divinities young, like in their early 20's, but this mere fact makes your artwork more beautiful. I LOVE IT! 101% sure! Oh, and Cerberus looks cute, btw.

Wow that's awesome! I've never seen a Hades who looked that handsome haha but I like it. And Persephone looks gorgeous. Her eyes are really stunning. The background is very original, too. Great work!

while i love pretty much everything about this picture, i do have to comment that Hade's face looks slightly more feminine (with the roundness of ti) than masculine. other than thatm brilliant work and i love the details!

CERBERUS<33333
He's/They/It = adorableness. You cute three-headed dog, you.
Hades looks pretty nice (it might just be the angle, but his eyes look halfway open, and therefore, sleepy XD). Peresphone is pretty, love her hair <3. And is it just me, or does it seem like she's looking right into your soul? XD.
The background = Awesomeness. EPIC awesomeness XD.

I love how you put grass beneath Persephone's feet. Now, I don't know if I'm reading to much on this, but it that because of her mother?
I simply love how you added Cerberus and Charon in there

It is . Persephone was also the goddess of spring, so I wanted to give a clue in the picture. Thanks!!

Persephone looks GORGEOUS here.
I never imagined Cerby having wolf-like heads. But now that I think of it, it totally fits!
Been going on a Greek myth rampage lately. But it saved me in this really terrible commentary paper I had to do (I got stuck with the worst passage of the whole play, geezies!).
But enough about that.
It's so nice to see Hades looking like a handsome young guy. Everyone's always so mean to him and Poseidon and Zeus, making `em look all old and beardy. All the other Gods are beautiful, why can't they be too? It works.
Anyway it's a really good job right up there. The background is nice, too, although I imagine Hades being darker. I guess Hell is a hard thing to picture. That's why we love you Dante! ;_;

Glad you found the original then . That happens a lot of times, people take the images without including copyright (even when the artists ask them for it) and with time the name of the artist is lost and you can't find the original art.

The details all throughout this are phenomenal, and the entire piece is fantastic. Out of everything that was done so well, my favorite part of this is the expression on Persephone's face. She's not apologizing for anything to anybody.

Very interesting take on the mythology. I like how the color palette of the background seems to take warm color cues from Persephone's hair and clothing. It seems to me that she's the one bringing light into that dark place.
