Description
"Beyond the Fields of Asphodel,where the souls wander in sorrow,
beyond the Acheron waters,
there I will wait for your return.
I walk away around shadows,
listening moans of pain and despair,
but the voices of thousand ghouls
will not ease your memory in my head.
And now that leaves fall around Earth,
a golden carpet will lead you to me.
And with the cold wind of the winter,
six pomegranate seeds do their duty.
Here, deep in the Underworld
you will find our ebony throne,
and your voice of promises and whishes
will bring life to the eternal dreamers."
My own version of Hades & Persephone. In the picture I portrayed they both, with Cerberus. At the left we can see Charon in his boat and the river Acheron, and in the other side the river Phlegethon, made of fire.

I am absolutely loving this painting of my mother and father. My father is a tad bit off but i suppose it works because this is what he looked like when he was younger... as for my mother, this is exactly how she looks like now... thank you for drawing her and my father..

i've always kind've loved this couple.
At first i felt bad for Persephone being pulled into hell.
Then i think well Hades was probaly lonely.
it all worked out well in the end.

I love this tres tres gorgeous! i was cast as Hades in a production of Circus Olympus but i had to be geeky not dark and cool like every other depiction of Hades. I was VERY pissed off!

From what I have gathered in Greek mythology the one that was jealous of Zeus' position was Poseidon.

Indeed. Hades was most the quiet one.
I supposee Disney wanted to give us the typical idea that all related to death is bad. I don't think it's a good way to show mythology to children, most of the things in the movie were wrong.
