Description "Beyond the Fields of Asphodel,
where the souls wander in sorrow,
beyond the Acheron waters,
there I will wait for your return.

I walk away around shadows,
listening moans of pain and despair,
but the voices of thousand ghouls
will not ease your memory in my head.

And now that leaves fall around Earth,
a golden carpet will lead you to me.
And with the cold wind of the winter,
six pomegranate seeds do their duty.

Here, deep in the Underworld
you will find our ebony throne,
and your voice of promises and whishes
will bring life to the eternal dreamers."

My own version of Hades & Persephone. In the picture I portrayed they both, with Cerberus. At the left we can see Charon in his boat and the river Acheron, and in the other side the river Phlegethon, made of fire.

There's a step by step of this one here: [link]

Done in Photoshop.

Thanks, glad you like it .

I totally teach myself to use Photoshop. Here there's not any place where you can learn Photoshop correctly. Indeed, when I was studying my art career, we had some classes about digital art and how to learn photoshop, painter, dreamweaver... and some few weeks after the classes began, I was working hand by hand with the professor teaching the rest of the students . So, no, here we can't learn digital art by classes, at least until now ^^.

EstΓ‘ realmente espectacular!! increΓble, me encantΓ³

No, I didn't read the Inferno. Who's the author? I love to read and the book sounds interesting

Dante Alighieri wrote it. It recounts the poets journey through Hell, led by Virgil, his predecessor. He travels through the nine circles of Hell and Dis to witness the suffering of the damned. If you're interested in mythology you'll love it. Two more books follow: the Purgatorio, and the Paradiso.

At first I didn't associate the title that you said with Dante's work (that's what happens whith the difference of languages ^^), but indeed I read that book several years ago. I liked it a lot, is a master work

Yeah I agree. I figured you must have read it to create such great art I love the deep and defining commentaries on each punishment. Also I love mythology, and I have a catholic background, so I really appreciate his work. I

I love the step-by-step on this, it really helps to accentuate all the parts and appreciate it more.

I noticed that on your step-by-step final version, the colors are a lot warmer, whereas this version is cooler and I was wondering if that was intentional?

This is a gorgeous painting, I love seeing mythical stories brought to life. I love how they're standing; how soft and supple Persephone appears, and how rigid Hades is.

Gorgeous work

Thanks so much ^_____^

Well, the difference between the colors in the step-by-step and the final version it was not intentional, it just that sometimes my photoshop changes the tones while working on different files. I'm trying to find out why .

It was a pleasure, hope it could be useful .

Well, I can't be sure of how many hours it took me exactly, since I worked on it several weeks at the same time as other works, but could be around 250-300 hours more or less. It's more time than my usual works because it features more characters and details.
