My first Tutorial! n__n For photoshop Elements. I think it would work for Photoshop CS aswell.I hope it helps you guys!
Sorry if i kinda blabbed on a bit..

How would these techniques pertain to say a lake? (i have to draw one for a competition and this looks pretty but for a lake i have not the faintest idea of what to do .-.

What I found works well is to do the same things as this, but instead of coming in from the sides, scribble a bullseye shape.

But a quick heads up, I use a different program than the one in the tutorial. I just managed to make it work. SO Im not sure if it will work as well for you, unless you also use SAI.

This is helping me out SO much with the background I'm trying to do right now... Epic night scene with a lake that has Northern Lights reflections on the water, HERE I COME~

OwO Ah poopy. Well, It looks incredibly similar to PSE6. XD LOL PSE3 look so oooold. XD I was looking around in my computer, and I found PSE3 (witch I used to use) and it looks OOOOLD compared to 6 and 7. X3
