I haven't been to Latvia, but I have been to some beautiful beaches, especially in the Caribbean, and they always bring back some good memories. Recently, I returned home from a trip to the Virgin Islands and my native Puerto Rico, and it was a wonderful time. I spent my time drinking cocktails, reading in the shade, even playing with a friendly stray dog who decided to sit with us on our last island. Much as I love cold environments, I still enjoy beaches, and they always bring to mind good memories.
Critique wise, I like the sunset in the photo, as it adds a sort of atmospheric charm to it, almost as if saying fun times can only last so long, and then it's back to reality. Also, the sand and the various mounds, so free of people save for one lone individual, give me a moody vibe, sort of like the figure in the photo is brooding over something. As for his shadow, maybe it's meant to stand in contrast to the light in more ways than one? Nice.
This is a nice photo overall, reminding me of good times and giving me something to think about. I love it. Welcome to The List.

itches my eye a little. Without reason, or doubt I've only shot whats in-front of my subjects. Kinda like it because it itches my eye. All the same still goes against my normal shots. good work.
