I just needed to practice pokemon battles... I'm so used to draw posing pokémon and rarly draw any action...Alex the Eevee and Zack the Buizel belongs to
Sorry for using them without telling
I'll take the drawing down if it bothers you too much...
I wanted to make it look a bit epic with Alex taking on Azure now that Zack had taken a hit.
You don't know how many pokémon puns there could be in this text like "Alex is using his LAST RESORT tackle at Azure now that Zack has been TAKE(N) DOWN"
.... bad puns I know...
this isn't necessary in the actually story. It's just practice...
It's poor quality due to me being both a bit ill and tired.
Pfff... I just realized Azure starts with the same letters as Alex and Zack... I was actually just going through a list of blue colours and almost had it tied with Cobolt blue XD
Mayber I should change his name..?

I like the detail in the sketching, all three characters are well made. I particularly LOVE how Zack is drawn, his outlining and detail is SUPERB!
The ONLY down side is that it looks more like a battle to the death instead of a sparing match. But since its practice, I should complain. I hope our two teams don't become antagonistic towards each other in the REAL stories.
Alex looks pretty fierce too. Doesn't really match his personality and current combat skills. But hey, its practice.

Actually the "background story" (which isn't official) to this is Azure suddenly attacked Alex and Zack without any reason. So it actually isn't an actual sparring match.
The hidden reason for Azures sudden attack is that he wanted to see if their intentions were good or bad on this "mission".
Just after this tackle, Azure stops in the middle of using "force palm" and turns around to walk away. When Alex asks something like "why did you fight us?" he replys "You have a weird aura..."
A long time later Azure revields that if he had continued fighting he would have lost. The only reason why he was still on his feet was because of endurence, but Zack was not that hurt and would propetly have taken him down.
Again this story is just something I had in the back of my head when I drew this, but I don't think I want to make it official.
but.. yeah. That's why they look so serious in this picture...
And I thought I could make Alex look feirce in this picture if his friend were in danger.

You know, what Azure said could be true. Alex WOULD have a weird aura, his past can attest to that. But no body KNOWS his past, not even Alex.
If first impression is anything to go by, Azure seems rather cold and calculated, mysterious even. Attacking Alex and Zack when he KNOWS their all on the same side is strange indeed. Hmmm...

Azure is used to see weird auras as a warning that something is wrong. He has seen them sometimes on unstable pokemons, posessed and ghost pokemons and on few other occations, but it doesn't mean he knows what exactly is "wrong" with a pokemon with a weird aura.
Azure might seem a bit cold, but that's because he's not used to trust other people. He has been alone most of his life, and his aura powers grows weaker because of it. When pokemon fights agenst each other they spend time together and thus bond with each other, may it be friendship, rivaly or enamies. Azure uses his fighting skills to find out if pokémons have good or bad intentions.
thats why he attacked Alex and Zack.

Well THAT explains a lot! He's not bad, just different.^^ That sparks an idea, I'd like to cameo him in my story later on. He's be a perfect way to help add contemplation on Alex's mystery. Heck, I think I'll go so far as to recreate your scene as team Ranger's introduction to Azure.
