That... Is... Beautiful. It's too bad I'm so far back in my Msgs on Devart, I would have like to see the other version that had color... I'm puzzled as to why you don't like it, lol. The feel of the pic is really so far from the norm *I think*. The contrast and detail are great. The water looks awesome, and I love how the posts catch all the trash... it's like it's all pure, and then you see where everything gathers, almost like getting to know a person. The landscape looks great... I love how you find the back roads to the back roads

I think it looks neat, the contrast. The way the fence is incorporated into the shot is well done, it's unusual.

yeah that dark spot is caused by one of the 5 some odd filters i have on it or its one of hte quirks of IR (because i do get that sometimes for some reason)
overall i really hate this image - i dont like the way it came out. so its all good that you dont REALLY like it

It's a good photo... but seems contradictory to me.
At a glance, it seems like something out of "All Quiet on the Western Front," but the purple sky and flowing stream give that notion a quick boot. I dunno, perhaps greyscale the sky and add more contrast while doing something to the stream... perhaps a red tint to symbolize blood or something.
This is all from the orginal black&white format of the image, if you're going for something a bit more.. happy? I'd try adding more colors to take some of the focus away from the barbed wire.

Hoi! Its a lovely shot. I really like the features of selective sharpness and motionblur. But for once, I'm not much for your toning. Its too pink for the subject, in my opinion. I could just be having a strange day, but I'd make it b& w with stark contrasts... Wait a minute, who the fuck do I think i am ?
