The Uncanny X-Men picture I've made a while ago.Characters present: Wolverine (Logan), Colossus (Piotr Rasputin), Sprite/Shadowcat (Kitty Pryde) Nightcrawler (Kurt Wagner), Storm (Ororo Munroe) and guest appearance - Amanda Sefton
(it's from early eighties)

Oh my this brings back memories of early years of reading the X-Men .... esp when it was just one comic and therefore easy to follow!

yeah and after that X-men become popular enough to support multiple books and all the hell brake loose

Now its impossible to follow it unless your parents are rich or as an adult you're willing to pay $30-50 (at least) a month. Heck its enouhg that plus the bad writing they did concerning Kitty a lot of times, I really don't follow it like I used to.
From age 10 to 33 I bought many of the X-men comics, with a few exceptions. When Excalibur (Kitty, Rachel, Kurt) came out, I read that instead of the Uncanny X-Men (Storm, Peter ect) or X-factor (Scott ect) When Marvel decided on the two times to leave Kitty lost in space, I didn't read them at all.

I'm not that old(I don't mean you are old like you know old, but I'm just moderately young person), I was only born about the time Excalibur just appeared, so can't remember the times, besides I don't live i America, so most of the books are only available to me via Internet or library. And I've only got into American comic books about a year a go or so, I've bee reading some manga earlier though. But based on writing I rather have older comic books than newer ones.

yeah some of the old Uncanny X-Men are teh best. I love the time where Kitty first joined to when she first left. Alhough she didn't really leave per say, its more like she and Kurt were injured from the Morlock Massacre and then Storm and other X-Men pretented to be dead.
Long story short, they sacrified themselves to stop an evil enity and was secretly brought back to life, they thought if enemies believed them dead would give them an advantage. Kitty and Kurt mourned and then went on with life, and were part of founding Excalibur.
One disadvantage is not all the old comics are digital and ahrder to read unlike some manga.

Yeah, I've read that, it was some awesome plot twist. And yeah, it's more difficult to find in the Internet comic books than manga, and when you find them there are often some issues missing.
