(EDIT) This isn't my best work, so as far as i'm concerned, this was just an attempt. Sooo i'll be redoing this character for you, hopefully it will turn out better the second try.
sorry)So the panther like one is Sha-En, he's 's character. Part of a trade for [link] which I really love. I think we both had the same reactions about both pieces LOL. We both were shown very different portrayals of our characters than we were use to and in both cases the reciever had to do a double take. But I know that the pic of Dusk in his style is just AWESOME! It's always great to get different perspectives on your characters. I love it XD
I hope that he can say the same about this. I have my issues with the piece, but honestly, I always do. But all and all I think it turned out XD
Oh the orange cat, he is my own contribution. Some young brave from some tribe that's a little too upitty and is about to blow the hunt Sha is participating in.
As for a name, he hasn't one unless decides to give him one XD.

dude, if you use sketchy lines , also use sketchy style in coloring in shading. this one looks like a rough draft but was made to look like it was given a hard effort onto. but still over all... love it.
PS:
i know you used the dodge tool for the highlights, you might want to try using the brush to make highlights instead of relying on the doge tool for that... it'll look nicer overall... IMO anyway XD

yes, dodge was used. as said, this wasn't my best work. I fully intend of doing another of this character for the guy. This and the piece before it just bit LOL that day was a day I should have just put the wacom pen down and backed away slowly LOL

I think you did a good job with this. You don't see a lot of coloring done this way, it's different and I like it. And the lighting is really cool^^

Thank you, my friend. I don't get too many chances to see a different interpretation. (Literally. I got 2 total, haha. I won't be greedy.)
This makes me think of what Sha-En would be like in much earlier years, rather than all stalwart like I usually render. And I can't help it, but the orange guy is gonna be Mike, forever more. (inside joke)
Strangely, what I enjoy the most is the light from the forest canopy. Something I'd like to be better at is creating atmosphere.
