When I look at Cell's character, this is what comes to mind: he represents as the demonic entity of the Z-fighters and Freeza; manifested as a being of his own form. As Dr. Gero who represent the someone who put a curse. Lying hidden until it grew into a full-fledged demon and haunts the world with its evil.
Cell would fit in just fine with Lydi. He's a demon himself. And I love that in him.
