I suggested this piece, amongst 4 others from *darklylit as daily deviations, and this was the one which was picked by ^serpentinekiss
As much as I agree with you in that his gallery does include more recent works, which are perhaps more deserving of such a feature, I think that the accolade and spin off is much wider than just this specific shot. You only need to look at the amount of page views that the artist has recieved today alone, and the amount of feedback on other works, to get an idea of the level of exposure which will hopefully continue.
