Keiko is sort of... crazy. She compiles lists of reasons why she doesn't like people, places, or things, and tends to get carried away with it... Most people have about 90 reasons why she doesn't like them.... How is she the main character again?And her sister can be a bit of a bitch...
In these early pages it's easy to get Remi and Masami confused when they're up close, their hair styles were practically identical back then, XP, You'll see more of a difference in the future.
I loved the facial expressions on this page a lot, XD

Admittedly, her obsession with 'slightly above average' is simultaneously amusing as part of her character and incredibly grating.
Amusing because she utterly fails to realise that such eccentricity drives her into 'excessively bloody bonkers' territory.
Grating because it shows she's an idiot. At least in some regards. Has she ever stopped to think about what would happen if those who were more than slightly above average were culled or forced to conform? Would it be a better world for all? NO, the end result would be a bloody boring world! Those who excel give rise to new ideas, new methods, ways to improve effectiveness! Without such individuals, we'd probably still be living in the medieval days at best, stone age at worst.
Of course, you already said that thinking isn't exactly her forte and recent experiences with our favourite shoggoth seem to have had a lasting impact on this worldview, no matter how minute. And it adds to her character.

LOL YES. Keiko can be... incredibly.... very annoying and lovable at the same time. And yes, she is certainly way over the top and her trying to be slightly above average so much makes her waaaaaaaaaay more than that. But, I feel if someone ever proved that to her, she'd have a mental break down.
But really it wouldn't even necessarily be that it would go to medieval times... If everyone was slightly above average at everything they did. They would work to make everything slightly better than the norm, but if EVERYONE is doing it, then it is the norm, and therefore it's just average, and they have to work harder to be Slightly Above Average again. It can never work. No matter what an entire society can never match Keiko's standards because if they do, they no longer match them. XD
She has a lot of mental issues, so she really can't help it a lot of times. It's really an OCD sort of thing for her. No matter what she's gonna complain about it, so may as well just distract her from it as much as possible XD.

Heh. Maybe it's for the best she spent some time in Arkham and currently has prescribed drugs then. Might help soften the blow should she ever realise both these matters.
Oh I'm not blaming her for her mental... oddities, such things only ever make characters more interesting.
And she of all people shouldn't be complaining about the size of anyone else's backside when her own arse is so huge.

Thanks dood! I wanted to go with something different than my usual stuff... I drew a lot of inspiration from Lucky Star and Gintama for some of the stuff, and some of my shading methods were inspired by Dance in the Vampire Bund.
