Description
This is a BIG file so it might take awhile to load!I've been getting a lot of questions about how I do my art lately, especially in regards to the mane, tails and shading. So I decided to do my first tutorial. I have to apologize for the sporadic writing and craziness but that i just how I think and the text edit on my old computer's photoshop doesn't work. Feel free to ask me if you cannot read something or if it is not explained clearly. I am a very simple photoshopper. I only play with brush shape, opacity, flow, brush dynamics, color dodge, and the occasional free transformation with distortion and skewing. Remember, this is just how I draw, you can use what I do to develop whatever style you want!

This one took me about 8 hours? Give or take. But I did the tutorial at the same time which made it take a bit longer. It usually doesn't take me more than 5 hours or so.
Color dodge can be found in the "Mode" selection at the top of the screen (below the file, edit, image etc...). Another useful mode is color burn, but I didn't use that one in this drawing. It basically lightens brightens the spot you use it on, as long as they are in the same color family. The eye part of the tutorial shows this very well. Try experimenting with it!
