To make sure that this issue wasn't immediately resolved and it was impossible to trace it back to Angel (or at least it would be falsely traced to Nightmare), it had to be ensured that Wireless was not aware of the imposter being a hologram, so Angel kept firing at him to distract him. That, and there had to be no pieces of the probe left.

The other guy on voice chat will remain a mystery for the time being, unless someone makes me immune to taxation.

Note: In case the concept was unclear, Angel sent a hologram probe over to the Fortress, projected Agent 42X's image over it, and caused havoc as his image, then to ensure the real 42X didn't catch on, she had it project an image of Wireless and had that one attack the real one.
