Description
He looks like Cubone without armor, but my little pony thought it looked bad when I gave him a set of plate armor. With a full set of armor, he probably would have looked like the younger brother from Fullmetal Alchemist, though. (To distinguish him from Cubone, I made the helmet silver.)Intelligence

Templar of Despair
Age: Unknown
Species: Hologram (species of his real body unknown)
Height (in default form): 6' 7"
Faction: Despair Deities
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Occupation: Multipurpose machine
Role: Jack-of-all-trades
Likes: Fury Raptor, "recycling" garbage, the fact that he can look like whatever he wants, causing problems by doing good deeds
Dislikes: The unusual sensory feedback his holograms send to his real body, having any sort of head, devouring living beings for energy, having his helmet knocked off the void that is his head, eye contact (since he doesn't have eyes)
Motivated by: Opportunities to get new bodies that meets his mistress's criteria, opportunities to cause people to lose their sense of purpose, Fury Raptor
Demotivated by: Teamwork
Positive interactions: Fury Raptor, Despair Mistress, Angelic Kitten, Pale Horsewoman, White Horsewoman, Queen Arvelia, Syndicate, Celeste (sometimes), Agent Tracer (sometimes), Astraille (sometimes), Linallia (sometimes)
Negative interactions: Magiseeker, Landscape, CrimsonMane78, Astraille (most of the time)
Personality:
As the Templar of Despair, he is cold and unforgiving, obeying his mistress's orders without question, even if it is to torture a person or to do something terrible to them. He prioritizes getting a new body back, but his goddess won't give him any non-unique body, she keeps telling him she's waiting for a celebrity to become "available". When he is doing an evil deed, he tries to manipulate the intended victims into giving up on everything they do, including their hobbies and jobs, so they become completely useless. He does this either by destroying their hard work or making their hard work obsolete, usually with the latter since he thinks eliciting a positive reaction from bystanders might unnerve them more than a negative reaction and it changes the status quo.
Since no one other than his mistress can bring him harm, his real body is in suspended animation on her planet, and his replicator can build anything he wants, he has no use for anything physical (other than a potential new body), he has no use for any worldly possessions anyone wants to give him, and he only helps others because he either wants to make people despair or, more simply, because they asked him to do it and he is simply a machine following the instructions asked of him. This is partially because his mistress physiologically modified his body to have fewer emotions and partially because the part of his brain that was producing those emotions was damaged in the accident anyway.
While he is not obeying his mistress's orders, he retains being somewhat cold as a speech pattern but is nice (or at least civil) to people around him--a difficult task when people recognize his helmet and think he is there to be violent (not that it matters when they do since he can just phase through everything they throw at him). He speaks very sardonically when not obeying his duties because of all the atrocities he has been forced to commit, and since he has lost track of how long he has been using a mechanical body, he treats himself as a ghost in a machine (or shell, though he tends to use more technobabble than actual ghosts since his body is holographic). If people ask for his name, he will usually tell them, "I will not pursue the matter any more if you do not," since he has lost all trace of his identity and refuses to make one for himself as long as he does not have a body. Occasionally he might lapse into his evil behavior, but moreso to benefit people as opposed to destroying purpose or because he is angry or annoyed.
Although he cannot remember the specifics, before he became legally dead, he had saved Fury Raptor in some manner and he remembered that incident subconsciously, so he attempts to withhold his coldness toward her. Despite the fact that she shows some degree of attraction toward him, he feels that as long as he is indebted to his mistress, he does not want her to get involved and avoids returning her affection, occasionally warning her that at some point in the future they may have to do battle with each other. Whenever he is with her, he will do his best to keep his helmet on the black void that is his head because he wants her to think well of him to some extent.
When he transforms, if his chosen appearance is something generic, the head will usually be in the shape of his helmet or something similar, since he doesn't remember his face. If he chooses to transform into an existing person, he will be uncomfortable assuming their identity and being addressed as them. If he has the option to, he will slightly dehumanize the imposter by removing some trait from them that people look for, like their eyes, and hide the missing trait behind an article of clothing.
Both due to the fact that the hologram generator is a machine and that some of his nerves were burned off from his original body, he has extremely little sense of touch, with the hologram only able to indicate whether he is touching something or not, so physical attacks do little against him but at the same time he cannot physically attack other people without expending more power. He can disperse into a gaseous form if he has to.
Although the nanites have the ability to generate cameras for visual feedback, he prefers to use ultrasound and the 3D scanner to perceive things around him. He is generally aware of anything around him up to 15 feet away and can scan objects at a longer distance, and use individual nanites to act as remote scanning scouts. Both for the comfort and discomfort of anyone he is talking to, the direction of his helmet typically indicates where he is directing his attention, but he may choose not to do this if he wants to misdirect people.
He usually recharges by consuming anything that is considered trash, and he doesn't mind because it doesn't get digested so he doesn't need to taste it.
Combat Tactics:
Knowing that he can't be harmed without technological means and knowing that he could easily kill a person with his holographic body, he doesn't try to win or deliberately lose, and instead tries to manipulate a specific outcome, such as by getting the opponent to surrender, tiring them out, lose faith in themselves, or possibly even getting people watching the fight to laugh at what he's doing. Towards people he knows and is forced to fight, he will also try to manipulate specific outcomes which result in stalemates, funny reactions, or getting his mistress not to want to watch anymore so he is not required to fight.

Arsenal:
Hologram Nanites: The "body" that everyone sees him with all the time is a holographic projection from thousands to millions of tiny holographic projectors that the Mistress of Despair provided him with. Although she won't go into detail about it, the nanites are definitely from the future and are not Earth technology. The Templar is projecting his mind and imagination to the nanites. (Most people think he is just a hologram/machine and that there isn't a mind behind the Templar himself due to the way he talks.) Since they are microscopic, they have many different applications in the field of construction/destruction and medicine and can generate magnetic charges. Based on the Templar's understanding of the nanites their original purpose is to replace an organic doctor and their tools in an area lacking state-of-the-art medical care.
Helmet of the Void: The helmet he wears is mostly to give others a focal point for others to talk to, and not so other people are talking to the black void that is his head. He mostly uses it as a guide for how much minimum safe area he needs to replicate objects. The name "Helmet of the Void" refers to the design of the helmet since he has to constantly turn tangible and intangible at times, and he has to degenerate the helmet to make it accurate. He usually makes them out of aluminum since it is a common material and prefers them to be silver, though if other materials are available he has no objection to building them out of other non-transparent materials, or he will make them out of a magnetic material if he is low on power and doesn't want to continuously hold up a non-magnetic helmet.
Armor of the Void: The armor he wears is made of iron (in contrast to his helmet) and he mostly uses them as dexterous limbs or projectiles by throwing them or manipulating them independently from his body, and so his humanoid appearance wasn't entirely naked. He also uses them to generate friction for his magnetism at times.
Powers:
Intangibility: Since his "body" is just a hologram, he can become tangible or intangible to whatever he feels like, allowing attacks to pass through him without it harming him, usually involuntarily. He usually only turns tangible to anything he needs to touch.
Maglev technology: His nanites can generate a magnetic field to effortlessly lift most magnetic objects. If there are any non-magnetic objects attached to it, it uses up more power for him. He can also use the magnetic field to charge small particles with enough magnetic force to turn them into energy projectiles and toss them as if they were marbles.
Appearance changing: He can transform into anything, limited by his imagination, but larger objects cause him to slow down and smaller objects permit him to speed up due to the amount of processing power the size of the object takes compared to his mind. He has a psychological block from this not to construct a head for anything he transforms into and changes the head into his helmet since he does not remember who he is, unless he wants to transform into someone specific, where he will dehumanize that person by removing something that people look at (such as their eyes) and hiding it behind an article of clothing (such as sunglasses).
Possession: By slamming his helmet on a person, he can effectively override their nervous system with his and force them to do whatever he wants as long as his helmet is broadcasting to their nervous system. When he does this, he dismisses any other parts of him that are holographic to devote power to controlling his victim. Not surprisingly, he can also force his target's body parts to move with his hologram nanites, but that method takes too much power for him to maintain for long periods of time. He can also possess a mechanical entity but it will be easier for them to overcome him since his mind is still organic.
Replication: His nanites can deconstruct and reconstruct matter, whether it is to energy or to tangible matter again. He can create anything from small spare parts to food, or more hologram nanites whenever he is running low on them. He dislikes using it on living beings since the experience is similar to having that entity being eaten by flesh-eating bacteria. He has a tendency to involuntarily absorb light particles underneath his helmet, which gives it a black void-like appearance. To recharge his nanites, he must deconstruct matter into energy to power them. He mostly uses trash, but gets more net power in the replication from consuming anything organic, like rotten food.
Medical scanning: His nanites have a built-in 3D medical scanner that allows him to scan the health and appearance of a person which can either be used to create an accurate replica of the person or 3D print replacement organic parts for them. It can also be used as a regular 3D scanner so he can create exact replicas of items.
Healing: By using the replicator on his nanites to degenerate pathogens and toxins from a person's body and replicating healthy cells and proteins he can heal wounds and diseases from a person. His procedures take as long as a 3D printer to complete so he typically leaves the in-combat healing to the Despair Mistress or the White Horsewoman. Due to this being a manual, physical procedure, he can use this to cure even the most aggressive of cancers or rapidly multiplying diseases in a person's body without any physical detriment, which he offers as a service in exchange for various grievous sacrifices, including but not limited to forced servitude of that person's body for his mistress (though if he is feeling like a nice person he will request something less drastic such as their identities).
