Description
Scorpion:The idea with Scorpion is to not stray too far away from his original design (which was the plan with all of the ninjas I redesigned). I wanted Scorpion to look a bit more lethal than the others. He is an undead assassin, a hellspawn ninja... in other words, he should be intimidating. And the idea of his face being human is something I discussed with a buddy and thought was silly. So here he has a skeleton face (which can be seen through the mask, and his eyes). I also thought it would be interesting if the frayed material from his costume looked freshly burnt at all times. As if it was always hot with embers, (never catching fire or burning with flame) just simply hot edged material. Almost as if he is burning for eternity. I think it's important to have his element visible, physically still burning, to show he is truly a hellspawn.

This is very cool, it shows the he is like a Curse Ninja that come out at Night to Kill for Revenge!!

Hahaha, Ya I'm done with the Kenshi designs. That's what started my whole MK redesign rush that I've been going through. Started with Kenshi and decided the ninjas all needed a revamp as well

Haha ya I grew up with MK, Van Damme, Ninja Turtles, Arnold, Stallone, Karate Kid, all that action hero fighting stuff that kids love. So over all I dig martial arts and guns, barbarians, swords, super heroes etc lol

Digging the burning edges idea, and the detailing on the costume is outstanding! I think, if i had anything to say, it would probably be about the chain harpoon - perhaps a thicker 'rope' would have looked more substantial. I think at one point it's actually been chain-link, but i don't know which Mortal Kombat that was in.

Thanks for the constructive criticism, to be honest I was on the fence about his rope, and was going to make it chain-link (similar to the chain around Noob Saibot) But I chose to go with this instead only to have it a tad more simple. It looks slightly more flexible, and lighter too. I like the idea of the harpoon being sharp and slightly heavy so that the rope is easy to maneuver around.
And I think MK9 made his harpoon rope a chain to be honest.

Ah, i see! I wasn't criticising - i get where you're coming from about the flexibility. I guess ol' Scorps has got some serious muscle to be able to throw a length of chain at such velocity that the harpoon can get embedded in someone's chest!
