Scorpion:
The idea with Scorpion is to not stray too far away from his original design (which was the plan with all of the ninjas I redesigned). I wanted Scorpion to look a bit more lethal than the others. He is an undead assassin, a hellspawn ninja... in other words, he should be intimidating. And the idea of his face being human is something I discussed with a buddy and thought was silly. So here he has a skeleton face (which can be seen through the mask, and his eyes). I also thought it would be interesting if the frayed material from his costume looked freshly burnt at all times. As if it was always hot with embers, (never catching fire or burning with flame) just simply hot edged material. Almost as if he is burning for eternity. I think it's important to have his element visible, physically still burning, to show he is truly a hellspawn.
