Ok Ive been kinda busy but I thought Id finish this and submit it. I started this when the topic of how Quivering Darkwing and Darkwarrior turned out so much more different even though both of them had to deal with the loss of a daughter.Yeah, deep man... deep. The thought even got deeper after the latest issue.... ya know... that little conversation these two had after there fight with each other. Yeah I cant wait to see what comes of that. I have been totally dorking out over this comic...srsly!!!

I really love hos it's drawn and how dark it looks. The loss of a child, especially Gosalyn in Drake's life, is probably like cutting off his limbs.

Wow. And I mean wow. Just...where shall I start? DarkWarrior is -creepy, in that Heath Ledger/Sith Lord kind of way. Twisted, sinister, self-assured and thorougly spiteful to an extent, where he could give NegaDuck nightmares.
Quiverwing's expression is both contemplative and serene; he has moved past the bitterness and despair and found closure.
The colours are amazing; though quite a far cry from the original shadings, these look more postmodern and current and perfectly fit the mood as well as the series.
All in all a perfectly gloomy, depressing and unsettling picture displaying two extremes of how diferent people mourn the loss of a loved one.

QWD is an excellent foil to Darkwarrior exacly because of their similar origins yet divergent paths. I loved the comics too and this is a wonderful, dramatic piece of fanart.

I haven't watched all of the Darkwing episodes, but I do remember Darkwarrior Duck from that one time travel episode. What's the story behind the archer Darkwing on the bottom of the page?

I have yet to read this one! I've only gotten as far as issue 6. Getting these comics in the UK is a pain. Thankfully I found one of those 100+ page comics on amazon with the first seven in one :b
Great work, I adore the colours on the quiverwing picture. Especially the cape, it looks almost rendered in 3D.

Ya really did such a wonderful job on both Darkwarrior and Quiverwing Darkwing. Ya really illustrated perfectly how each Darkwing has dealt with the loss of their Gosalyn. One went completely insane and the other let his emotions go, and is carrying on in her memory.

Oh Wow! this is fantastic! It really shows what Darkwarrior is dealing with. He never intended to be evil, he's just stuck in a constant state of grief. And the Unknown reason of Gosalyn's disapierence drove him insane. it really does show how much Gosalyn means to him.

Anyhoo, the drawing is fantastic! The way they both show their griefs differently, all pure body-language man, and effing well-done.

Oh wow! I love your art style! both look perfect! Darkwarrior looks so sad here. It almost makes me want to give him a hug, (Though I'm not sure how I'd get around the spikes. lol, ouch. X3) I haven't read issue 8 yet but, I've seen the battle between these two and it's amazing!

It's such a sad and haunting picture, but it's beautifully done. Darkwarrior looks so friggin creepy and Quivering...so sad. You did an excellent job on this! Hats off to your fantastic picture!

I teared up studying Quiverwing Duck at Gosalyn's grave. This is very well done and once again highlights the concept that it's how we choose to respond to our circumstances that shapes us. There are other factors affecting their respective decisions, however. QD actually had to bury his child, which no parent should have to do. But Darkwarrior's child went missing. Perhaps having that closure helped QD cope, whereas for Darkwarrior, Gosalyn's disappearance remained a mystery for 20 years.

This is really, really good! I felt like the fight between Darkwarrior and Quiverwing and their talk afterwards was the highlight of the eighth issue of the comic. I like the emotion you brought out in both of them in this piece. Truly awesome work!
