love the consonontal alliteration in the first line, in a way it alludes to a "march" just through the repetition of sound.. very cool

and if they were really made of sugary sweet cotton candy, then they'd be marching their way into my stomach. but maybe i'd like them to saty that way, clouds in different fluffy formations that float by. i can stare at them the whole day today and know that everythin's gonna be fine.

The cloud patterns that I saw the morning I wrote this were so beautiful, and so rarely seen, that I found myself wishing I had my camera with me. Lacking film, I reached for words instead. I guess I did better than I'd thought!

Fractal cloudscape. I love the imagery which pops into one's mind upon the reading of this. Haiku reaches into one's memory of visions, plucks a moment, lays the the mood of it before you, sinks you in the emotion. Your poetry is beautiful. Congratulations for being here when it was time to choose the first, ever, Daily Poem. This is quite a lovely beginning.

Ahh, I like the almost-contrast between "cotton candy" and "fractal". It evokes in me a sense that, if I could just look close enough at cotton candy, I'd see the order in it, the "fractal".
