Inspired by Brave and the Bold #28 the first appearance of the Justice League of America but is technically the 2nd villain the League faced after the Appellaxians as stated in Justice League of America #9.

I wanted to give a horror movie vibe to the first time the League takes on Starro. With everyone the conqueror takes over they get like a zombie like appearance but still retaining all their knowledge and abilities they possessed notmally.
With the combine will of every being under Starro's control he can overpower a Green Lantern. With a Leaguer in his thrall he knows the location of the Batcave. Overcome Wonder woman's lasso of truth, convert Martian Manhunter into one of his spores.
With the worlds most powerful heroes unable to resist the mighty conqueror, the world is truely doomed.

AQUAMAN:
The spores of Starro drop into the water as well and begin infecting Atlantis!
As the Atlantians begin spreading the spores to their fellow kinsman, their king rushes to their aide attempting to haulting the assult on his people. However Aquaman quickly finds out that this threat is unlike any he has faced before and its telepathic abilities are far greater then his own and possess him without a spore!

Starro is like a regular starfish but he is so old and far more advanced with his abilities then Arthur he is able to overpower him, as Atlantians use telepathy to communicate underwater with each other and sealife.

Art: as king of Atlantis, Aquaman is the only one with the ability to communicate with all sealife and yet it is having zero effect on Starro, as his own people are turned against him.
