Trevor nodded. "..okay." he agreed, figuring meeting them wouldn't be so bad...just a tad overwhelming, since he was still trying to wrap his head around meeting Finn. He pulled his knees to his chest, trying to control himself. He gazed out across the long lawn...as the car drove away. He gulped a little, whimpering as the gravity of his situation settled more. He was going to stay here...this man was his new father...unless it didn't work out like all the others. He sighed quietly, determined not to disappoint.
Trevor forced the next smile a bit, having been psyching himself out a bit. "I...I'm sure it'll be good." he answered oddly.

He chuckled, ruffling Trevor's hair playfully, smiling as he carried him to the kitchen, setting him on the counter. "Want to watch me make it? As long as you stay away from where I'm working..." He said, not wanting to risk the boy getting hurt the first day in the house. He smiled the next moment. "I hope it really is good...my friends always tease me about the ONE time when I started cooking that I burned water...they'll never let me forget it~"

"I wanna watch." he confirmed happily. Trevor allowed a small smile and he giggle a bit. "Water?" he grinned, unable to wrap his mind around that. He sat on the counter, hugging his knees as he watched the giant being.

He chuckled, blushing sheepishly. "Hey, it's easy when you don't watch it~" He said, ruffling the boy's hair as he prepared dinner

The boy just laughed again. "That's so silly, though!"

He smiled. "Ah, it's not that silly..."

"Well...it is a little." Trevor was still trying to figure out how you could possibly burn water as he watched his new adopted father cook. He sat far enough that he wasn't near the heat or in the way, looking around the kitchen itself. He couldn't help but stare around in wonder at how big everything was...
He stood up, but even that didn't change the point of view.

He chuckled. "...I guess it is...either way, I needed a new pot after that..." He said, and after a few minutes of work he was stirring the cheese in with the macaroni in a pot, getting out the smallest bowl he had and a spoon, even though his smallest bowl was roughly the same size as his palm.
"Now, I'll let you eat first, okay?" He asked, looking over to the child. "Whatever you don't eat, I will..."

Trevor nodded, staring hungrily at the macaroni and cheese. He could probably only eat a few of the noodles before he got full, really...with the giant food, he doubted his new dad would have to worry about another mouth to feed. Smiling, he waited for it to be set in front of him, not even thinking about washing his hands even though he would have to pretty much use them for this.

Finn frowned softly, suddenly having a thought. "Did you wash your hands at all? No, huh...?" He mumbled, putting the bowl down and scooping up the boy. "Let's get your hands washed before you eat, alright?"

The boy nodded. "Okay." he said, pulling up his long sleeves.

Finn chuckled, carrying him to the sink, filling a shot glass with water before setting it to the side, grabbing soap and offering some to the boy. "Take what you need...you're going to wash your hands in the glass..."

The kid did as instructed quickly, ready to eat. "Then what after? What after dinner?"

He chuckled. "Well, we'll see..." He said, bringing the child to the bowl and offering him a cooled down noodle

Trevor smiled widely, taking it with a fast thank you before eating it quickly, happily.

He chuckled. "Not too fast, you might get bellyache."

Trevor nodded, blushing. He slowed it down a tad and ate four before be was too full to eat any more.

He laid down on the counter, nodding. "That was the best Mac and cheese ever..."

Trevor smiled. "Orphanage food isn't good...except pizza night."

He laughed, stroking the kid's back gently

Trevor giggled, hooking his hNds on the finger, pulling himself up. He climbed on his dad's hand, smiling widely at him. But then something seemed to occur to the young boy. "...I call you...father, right? Ms. Allen told me to call you that. My new father."

He smiled. "You can call me whatever you want...Finn, dad, father, it's up to you..."

The kid looked down sheepishly, climbing down a moment. He asked a quiet question, though the fact he was quiet and not looking up for mouth reading...it probably wasn't made out well.

Finn frowned, confused. "Did you say something? You need to speak up, kiddo~"

Trevor cleared his throat a bit, his face a light shade of pink. "...um...like...daddy?" the child asked innocently.

Finn paused a moment, then smiled. "...daddy works..."

Trev beamed. "Okay! Or dad, sometimes." he laughed, walking over and hugging the giant as best he could with tiny arms.

(Exactly~ I doubt Trevot would want to go either. Might try and run away. It'd be worse if the guy was actually his deadbeat father that was gone for five years of his life and got remarried seven times in that time span...or is a drunk...)
Trevor was bouncing at that. "Yay! We should play a game. Do you know...hide and seek?"

(And here's the thing! Nobody knows he still is. He sobered up just long enough to get his biological son back, for some reason not liking that he was actually adopted already. This could be like a half year later, after they're settled. The department just shows up and forcibly takes Trevor away. They use another giant employee to keep Finn somewhat at bay long enough for them to drag Trev to the car...crying and pleading for Finn. And a few nights later, a scared, possibly hurt kid shows up at Finn's door...)
"You hide! I'll find you. I'm a good seeker!"

The rest of that afternoon was spent playing games and the like and it was obvious Trevor was going to get along just fine in his new home without a worry in the world. Well, almost none. Over the next months, Trevor got to meet Finn's family, getting along from the start with them. He loved Finn, becoming all the more open, being the happy kid he was. Even on his worst days, he forever appreciated Finn fir being there for him. Whenever he tried to picture his dad, all he could really picture was Finn. But he felt strangely alright with that. Through the winter and spring months, he was with Finn. He became excited as his birthday approached, coming May the following year. The first birthday he'd be celebrating with his new family. And he was completely hyped and excited for planning.

The family, however, was preparing for the big day, Finn going around checking on things he shouldn't worry about until the day OF the birthday, Colby was wrapping a present and Riley was coaxing his pet grizzly into the house so that the boy could meet and pet him, knowing the bear was toothless and wouldn't harm the boy

The almost birthday-boy himself was bouncing around all over the place. He was excited, having grown quite a bit in the past few months. He was almost ten. Currently, he was running around the front to find Riley, after catching wind that there was a bear somewhere in the vicinity. So cool!!
Only, just outside the house gate, he noticed something a human car was parked outside. A...very familiar one. Curiously, he stopped, standing there a moment, wondering just who that was.
(who if anyone do you want to play? One of the guys that takes Trevor? The other dad or someone associated with the guy?)

One of the people inside sighed, getting out of the car before closing it and heading toward the gate. "Trevor?" He asked the little boy, tilting his head. Of course, he was sure this was Trevor...what other human child would be living in a giant house?
Not far away, Riley WAS at the corner of the yard, keeping an eye on the boy as he coaxed his bear along, finally just picking the bear up and heading over to the gate. "...what's going on here? Trevor, were you expecting visitors?"

Trevor shook his head quietly, stepping absently closer to Riley, holding his pant leg. What did thus guy want?
Another person climbed out of the car. Someone Trevor definitely recognized. "Ms. Allen!" he gasped, smiling a little, relaxing. The nice assistant from the orphanage that had brought him here. He hadn't seen her in months! But...she looked terribly sad...
She smiled still. "Hello, Trevor. Wow you've grown. Is your...guardian home?" she asked, staring up at Riley...and the bear he had in hand. The woman frowned at that. "Sir, is that a grizzly? Please tell me you haven't had it around the child."

Riley knelt down, still holding the bear, tilting his head. "Oh, so you know these people, Trev." He said, looking down at the child before looking back when the woman addressed him. "Well, uh...he hasn't been around Trevor YET...but honestly, if Shack here posed any sort of danger, to me or a human, I would never have brought him at all today...he's tame, though, I've had him since he was a cub." He said, dead serious. "...I would never bring anything that was dangerous around Trevor." He said, then turned to the house. "...although, Finn should be inside...probably helping Colby, I can go get him if you like. Normally, I would call for him, but I figure it'd hurt your ears if I shouted."

Ms. Allen sighed. "...we will have to tell him. You see, there's been...a change. Regarding Trevor."
She he walked forward taking the boy's hand. Trevor gave her a confused look. Then shrugged. "Okay. Come on, dad is inside." he said, motioning for the man to come too.
Another large being the same height as Riley came from down the street, apparently having been following the car a way's behind.

Riley shifted nervously, setting the bear down in the yard as he sighed. "Come on, Finn is inside...something tells me I won't like this..."
The bear stood where he was placed, only sniffing the humans before grumbling and lying down on the grass with a huff
Riley then offered his now-free hand to the humans. "Want a lift?" He asked, tilting his head and smiling in a friendly way, not noticing the other giant yet

Ms. Allen shook her head. "That's quite alright, I'll go with Lanier." she said, walking back towards the other giant who kneeled. She had attempted to gently lead Trevor along, but he slipped free, bounding up to his uncle, still cheerful. He even petted the bear gently on his way over. Ms. Allen sighed, but went with the other man into the giant's hands behind them.
Trevor hopped into his awaiting hands, ready to go find his dad.

Riley chuckled. "Looks like I'm carrying Trevor, at least..." He said, then looked to the bear once Trevor was in his palm. "Shack, wanna come, boy?" The bear looked up, then pushed himself to his paws, lumbering over and getting onto his master's palm, but not without first sniffing the child and licking his face, settling down next to the kid. Riley laughed. "He likes you, Trevor~" He said, slowly standing once cupping a hand protectively over his two passengers so they had no chance of falling

Trevor was giggling, petting the large animal without a worry in the world. He felt completely safe. If Riley said his pet was okay, he never thought to second guess that. Ms. Allen looked worried, eyeing the bear and the Riley as Lanier followed him.

The bear looked up at the child, then grunted with a small smile as Riley headed to the door, opening it with his free hand. Noticing the woman's worry, he smiled. "...Shack is just fine around kids...and all people, actually...he couldn't ever harm someone, even if he wanted to...he's completely toothless..." He said. "...I found him that way and nursed him back to health from the injuries he had...he's the nicest, sweetest creature ever...he's my equivalent of a dog." He smiled, then looked around. "Finn?"
Finn entered the room, chuckling at seeing his son and the bear. "Ah, finally brought Shack, huh~?" He asked, then noticed the other giant and the humans HE was holding. "...oh, hello." He said, a slightly worried look on his face. He knew that lady...
