Tochi:*he was growing more anxious not seeing anyone for some time, wondering if he was stuck down here*

The 'monster' with him glanced over. "...are you sure you're okay...?"

Tochi:.....I-I haven't seen anyone up there for a while. ...i-is that normal?

He sighed. "Only time someone's here is to feed me or do painful experiments...that's why I enjoyed our talks so much..."

He nodded slowly, gulping

"...because I'm a monster..." He spat. "...I'm not human...they do so many painful things...shock me, take my blood...poke me with superheated metal to test my pain tolerance..."

Tochi: If you don't like it, why not say something to them...or at all for that matter? [why do you talk to me and not to anyone else?]

He sighed. "I've tried...they don't care..."

Tochi:....that seems a bit hard to believe.

He growled. "Tochi...I'm not human...they. don't. care."

Tochi:*he sighed, looking away*

He curled in on himself. "...hell...sometimes I wonder why you seem to care..."

He sighed. "...well...they do..."

Tochi:*he went quiet, staring at the floor*

He whined, curling up to sleep

Tochi:*He was getting worried no one was coming. Had they forgotten about him? Had he been left here to eventually be eaten? Or simply starve to death? Was that why he was pushed? He was so scared and confused.*

He flinched when a few hours later there was the sound of a door opening, shifting to coil up, hissing

Tochi:*he nearly yelped hearing the door and hissing, looking up and nearly jumping to his feet with brief joy......before suddenly feeling uneasy, did he want to be found?*

A scientist in a long lab coat walked in, smirking down at the monster, not noticing Tochi. "Ready for another pain tolerance test, beast?"
Zakot spat, glaring at him. "Go to hell!"
The scientist clicked his tongue, waggling his finger. "Now, now...you seem to deserve more pain than usual..." He said, snapping his fingers.
Two other people came in, both supporting a long metal pole with the end of it glowing, having been heated moments before

Tochi:*his eyes narrowed and his stomach knotted, Zakot was right, they were hurting the naga on purpose...for no reason other than they felt they could*

The scientist smirked. "Begin."
The second that the superheated metal touched his skin, Zakot screamed in agony, the sizzling sounding like an inferno as he jerked back to get free, hissing as his tail wrapped around the cool part of the metal, bending it and tossing it back out, fangs bared

Tochi:*he covered his ears as Zakot screamed, cringing at the sight*

The scientist grinned, the men shooting at Zakot with guns to calm him, the darts sticking out of his skin.
Zakot groaned, blinking as he started to get woozy.
The scientist laughed. "What's the matter, beast? Why don't you try calling for help, like you have so many times before?"
Zakot gulped, then panted, collapsing. "T-Tochi...please...h-help..."
The scientist paused, then smirked. "...Tochi is DEAD. I pushed him into your food, and seeing as your bowl is empty, you've eaten him...your friend will not save you."
Zakot whimpered, starting to cry as his eyes drifted shut. "...Tochi..."
Once Zakot fainted, the scientist sighed. "Write down observations, we're done here..." Before long, the room was once again empty save Tochi and the now-unconscious Zakot

Tochi:*He was sitting against the wall, his hands still over his ears. He still heard everything that was said, and it was making him freak out. They really HAD tried to have him killed pushing him in here. What would happen if they found out he wasn't dead? Would they kill him themselves!? He couldn't understand why this was happening. After a while, he uncurled himself, looking over to Zakot. Making sure they really were alone, he slowly crawled forward, gingerly trying to pull out the darts on Zakot, but his hands were trembling, making it difficult.*

Zakot winced, whining as Tochi tried to help, having been forced into a painful slumber, his body trembling a little bit, from fear, cold or shock, it wasn't clear...

Tochi:*After only getting a few of the darts out, he gave up and moved away from Zakot to sit down. He felt tired and afraid, not knowing what was going to happen to them both now.*

He stirred slightly after a few hours, groaning as he winced, hissing in pain as he swiped the last of the darts away. "T-Tochi...?" He mumbled, looking around

Tochi:*he was sitting against the wall again, face hidden in his arms*

He winced, shifting to get up. "Tochi...? You...you okay...?"

He stretched, hissing as he reached a hand out, shakily touching Tochi. "...you're not...not hurt...are you...?"

Zakot bit his lip. "Tochi...y-you...you're s-still scared of m-me..?"

He slithered a bit closer, hissing. "Then...w-what is it...?"

He bit his lip. "No you're not, Tochi...I'll protect you..."

Tochi:*snorts* ...what can YOU do? Besides what they wanted you to do.

He bit his lip. "Tochi...I'd never eat you..."

He flinched, whining. "...you're my best friend..."
