((Didn't really expect you had... but it involves a dragon grabbing someone who doesn't know he knows him...))
When you regained consciousness again, you were lying on a stone floor covered in a soft moss. The large green dragon that had captured you was only a few feet away, sprawled comfortably on the floor. He wasn't looking at you.

I gasped, bolting upright, cringing at seeing the dragon, whimpering as I scrambled back a bit, trembling. Why...why had it brought me here...? For ransom? A fight? Gods forbid it...a MEAL?

((It kinda was... and if I tell you that the two of them were cousins without any other context, that'll make it even more stranger, right?))
At the sounds of you moving, the dragon turned his head, big emerald green eyes looking into yours. "Finally, you're awake," he said. "Don't look at me like that... I didn't hurt you or anything..."

I cringed, squeezing my eyes shut and whimpering when the dragon looked over. "I...w-why...w-why did you...k-kidnap me...?" I asked, unsure if I wanted to know the answer or not

"You... you don't know?" he asked, sounding startled. "But... you areΒ who I think you are, aren't you? Prince, and all?"

I frowned, looking over to him. "Yeah...I'm a prince...so what do you want me for? A...a ransom or something...?" I asked, looking away

((Okay. First off, though, have you read The Voyage of the Dawn TreaderΒ by C.S. Lewis? (One of the Narnia Chronicles.) If so, that requires less explaining, even though the movie didn't follow it very well.))
The dragon snorted, which involved a bit of smoke. "A ransom?" he asked, sounding mildly offended. "You know what a prince's ransom is worth? Hardly diddly. And like any king would pay a ransom to a dragon, anyway." Giving you a searching look, he said, "Come on, think, Prince. You're sure you don't know?"

I cringed at the smoke, looking up at the dragon, shivering a bit, honestly a bit scared. But...by now...he started to sound familiar...but...WHY? I frowned, looking him over, then suddenly my eyes went wide and I felt a lump form in my throat. It couldn't be...but..."J...James...?"

((Okay. Full explanation, then. Of the scene from the movie, not the book. One of the characters, named Eustace, found an abandoned dragons' nest while exploring an island. Since it was raining out, he went to sleep on the gold. However, sleeping on dragon's gold with greedy, dragonish plans and thoughts in his heart turned him into a dragon. Later, his cousin, Edmund, and everybody else were sailing away in their ship. (I think to get away from the dragon chasing them, who was Eustace...) Edmund is up in the crows nest, and Eustace grabs him in his claws, carrying him back to the island to where he'd burnt into the ground big letters reading "I AM EUSTACE." (He can't talk in dragon form.) In the book, they'd figured out his identity in a different way, but I liked this scene of the movie...))

I relaxed, sighing softly, now believing I would be okay. "James...it...it's been so long...I...I didn't even recognize you..."

I bit my lip, shifting to stand. "I'm sorry...but...you DID kinda sneak up on me...I never got a good look at you until right now..."

"Sorry..." James said, sounding a little sheepish. "I wasn't entirely certain if it was you, so I just kinda... grabbed and ran. Looked at you afterwards, once I was airborne and you couldn't try to hurt me if you were the wrong person..."

I snorted in laughter. "Bet you're glad I wasn't the wrong person, huh~?" I asked, amused, now relaxed since I knew for sure he was my friend...he was being careful, he wouldn't hurt me...

"Definitely," James said, nodding. "That would mean that I hadn't found you after all."

I smiled, shifting in my seating, propping my arm up on one of my knees. "You know...I missed you, James...I really did..."

"Then why did it take you so long to come back?" he asked, looking sharply at you.

I cringed. "With learning how to fight and ride and be a proper prince...I never had the time..."

James's annoyed snort let you know just what he thought of that. "No time for your friend?" he asked.Β

I sighed. "...I'm sorry, James...I...I had no time at all...I wanted to come, multiple times..."

James sighed too. "Well, at least you're here now," he said, leaning over and nuzzling you. "Even if I had to kidnap you to get you here."

I laughed, amused, hugging his snout gently when he nuzzled me. "You HAD to kidnap me, but at least we're together now~"

"Well, it seemed you weren't coming back any other way..." James said in his own defense.

I sighed, hugging his snout harder. "...I'm sorry..."

James snorted a little, pulling his snout free. "No need to get all clingy..." he said.

I pouted playfully, then smiled and laughed a bit

James smiled back. "Good, you're happy," he said. "I want you to be happy here."

"No reason I can think of," James said. "But that doesn't change the fact that I want you to be."

I smiled, then patted his side gently. "Hey, James...is it okay if I stay the night?"

"Of course," James said as calmly as though it had been planned long before you'd asked.

James let out a contented sigh, lying down again and draping a leathery wing over you.

I smiled, snuggling into his side a bit, closing my eyes slowly. "...I'm glad we're friends..."

"Yeah, me too," James said, pulling you a bit closer. His natural warmth surrounded you on all sides.

I blushed, then nuzzled against his side, closing my eyes and leaning against him happily
