"Okay, then." She carried him into the kitchen, setting him on the counter and starting to make some soup. She poured some into a small dessert bowl for him. "Here you are... I hope you like it."

I sniffed the soup, then lapped some of it up. "...It's really good."

She smiled. "Thanks! So..." she started, pausing to take a sip of her own bowl of soup, "Where d'you wanna be... 'set up' here, for lack of a better term? There's a spare room you can have, or if you'd rather stay in my room with me, or out in the living room..."
