Anne gasped in surprise, taking a step back when the creature landed in front of her. This was no mouse, it was some sort of tiny humanoid. She forgot about the child for a moment, crouching down in front of the mouse-boy. Was it real, or some kind of toy? She reached down, gently picking it up to get a better look.

I yelped, shaking and scared "P-please d-don't h-hurt me..." I whimpered, and the kid rolled his eyes, starting to walk away

"I'm not going to hurt you, don't worry..." she said soothingly, gently rubbing the neera's back to reassure him. "I've never seen a creature like you... that kid didn't hurt you, did he?" she asked, worried.

"That's good. Do you live around here? I can take you home if you want," she offered.

"Well... I mean, I won't *make* you stay with me if you don't want to... but it'd be safe at my place, I promise. No kids or other animals that'd hurt you," I added reassuringly.

"Of course!" she said, rubbing his ears and beginning to walk towards her house. "You won't take up much space and I doubt you eat much, so why not?" she said, smiling gently at him.
