I storm into the room. "This sonovabitch took forever to find!" I'm holding what appears to be a rolled tarp. I look at you. "What just happened to you?"

"Long story short: I softened the metal with your lighter, and the metal hardened around my hands...Can you help me outta this?"

"Your hands are immune to heat? Wow. Here, let me soften that metal again. You should be able to work yourself free." I turn on the lighter and heat the metal confining your hands. I'm careful to avoid pointing it at you directly.

As soon as the metal was soft enough, I managed to slip my hands out, sighing in relief. "Thank you..."

"I'm amazed that you're immune to getting your hands burned. How is that?" I turn the lighter off.

"Yeah..." I said, looking at my blueprint quickly before starting to mold the metal

I leave you to your work. I go to the bed and unroll the tarp I was holding. It's in fact a cover for a sword. It's a Nordic longsword, three feet of tempered, double-edged steel fit for battle. The guard and handle are white varnished wood, with a red mark of the Assassins etched into the crossguard. I inspect the blade meticulously.

I kept working. After a bit, I asked "Conner, you have any more metal I can use?"

"Let me look." I go back into the kitchen for a while and return with an old, steel spoon. "Would this help?"

I looked at my sketch, then started up the lighter, softening the metal of the spoon

I shuffle through my dresser and pull out my whetstone. I apply it the sword.

Soon, I added the softened metal to what I had so far, glancing from my blueprint to what I was actually molding in its image

I wipe the sword down with a dry cloth, cleaning it.

"I need to reheat the metal and remold it...it isnt coming out right."

"That sucks. Here." I heat the metal for you again.

"Thanks." I said, starting to remold it, looking quickly between the paper and the metal so it'd come out right this time

"You're welcome." I return to the bed and take off my hidden blade, and begin to inspect it.

I adjust a loose gear in the device, working on it with a screwdriver and a pair of needle-nosed pliers

I wipe the device down with another cloth.

As soon as I was finished, my tail flicked in excitment and my ears stood up straight

I put the hidden blade back on my arm and pull the sleeve over it. I look at you. "What's up?"

"Really? Can I see it?" I walk over.

I smile. "Seems I'm not the only one with a fascination with weapons." I point to the sword on my bed.

"I wasnt interested much before today...I wanna help you."

"Help? You want to become an Assassin?" I'm visibly impressed by your courage. "That's a big step to take. I won't lie to you; the Templars have the edge these days. They have a company, Abstergo Industries, that they operate out of, and our Assassins here in the States are few and far between. But we could use someone like you."

"Yes. As bad as it is, we have spies everywhere. Although the Templars have been responsible for much of the technological advances of the last century or so, we're the ones that got them moving. However, we've been having problems as of late. The Templars stepped up security, and we lost five cells last year. And a traitor killed the American Mentor, so we're in a bind. Frankly, we'd take anyone that isn't a Templar spy. And the fact that you know how to make something like that," I wave my hand at your prototype, "means that you're pretty smart."
