Yes, vaguely. I mean, I just used random outfits, etc, but the two of them growing up in the circus together was definitely based on the classic comics. Amanda looked a little different than in, say, X-men: Evolution. But being that she is German, it makes sense.

yeah, Evo is very cute. Personally, I prefer classic comic X-men (Wolverine and the X-men is also a great animated series). But I loved Evolution in it's time.

Say whaaat?? I think you draw quite well in Gimp. It takes a while, but eventually you get the hang of it. If _I_ can use it-being not the brightest crayon in the box-anyone can!! I don't understand why you're so frusterated when your art looks great! There are a lot of things Gimp can't do, I'm sure, but there are also a lot of things that it CAN do, too!
Good job on the anatomy and coloring, I really like your art!

Aw, thank you so much! I appreciate the vote of confidence. I think what bothers me is that close up, the lines are really messy and I can't get them any smoother, but from far away I think it looks alright. I will keep at it and maybe find some brushes that work for me, or a trick that I don't know yet.

I love this! Especially Amanda's outfit. The earring adds a very nice touch, and I like those sock things too. lol Kurt seems to be concentrating pretty hard! The colors you chose are amazing!

Thank you! I wanted Amanda's outfit to say 'gypsy' but also gymnast who is a young teen. It's a little 80's but I think that fits pretty well. I think Kurt's hair is just in his eyes, he could do this crap in his sleep!
