You remind me of a very similar experience with my high school English class. We were all experiencing the final year of schooling and finished our mock T.E.E. (i.e. tertiary entrance exam) before the real exam in a months time.

The average result for our class was somewhere close to a pass and fail. That was frieghtening for everyone since we all had to pass English to get into university next year! X_X;; Fortunately people did okay and passed in the exam (after much preparation, including myself XXD ...)

A WORLD QUEST in TGAF is a an organised system formulated by the Council of Fortune Hunting (COFT) where three groups: fortune hunters, BANDITS and T.R.A.P. can partake and acquire treasure in a equitable yet competitive fashion.

In this system the highest ranking will be the most powerful and respected out of the WORLD QUEST community. The higher your rank the more privileges you get from the COFT - such as access to ancient maps kept in their vault, better facilities and tools to help retrieve treasure that is not reachable at first opportunity.

For a more simplified explanation on a WORLD QUEST head over to this page. [link]

Darkspeeds' Notes: Just curious... Who has experienced this sort of emotion or situation in their real lives? I'd love to hear some of your thoughts on failed experiences. *thumbs up*

Well,in real life,I've never had this kind of disappointment, but in my little comic series it happens to one character periodically(It's probably because that character is based off a friend of mine .)Anyway,if you want to here, just send me a note.

I was about to write about that! And, for some reason, I've scrolled down this page and then I've read your notes!

I know exactly how Ruby feels. I've felt it lot of times. Computer Science is a difficult career and I've suffered just like Ruby. I remember several subjects which were very hard to pass. The most strange was that the more I studied them, the lower califications I got! I still don't understand that today! But I kept trying until I passed all of them even with good califications! I have to thank to my parents, who always helped me to not leave the career as other companions of mine did.

Now, I'm about to become an engineer and I see that all the effort was worth.

Ruby has reacted just like me. First angry, then sad and finally crying in the arms of a close friend. I wonder if in the next pages she will think for a moment about leaving her dream of being a fortune hunter...

Now I'm remembering that a scene of the movie Mulan in which Mulan's father tells her that the late flower is the most beatiful of the garden. That line was impactant to me. Was such an elegant way to tell Mulan that her efforts would be worth someday!

Interesting to hear of your story Isabel. = )

I had a tough time with my tertiary entrance exam years (T.E.E.) where students get to pick 12 subjects in their final two years of high school and make sure they get a better than average score to get into university.

Those years were hell man... XD;; I never want to go back to it.

It's great to know that you have achieved so much this far! What kind of engineering are you specialising in (civil, sound, industrial etc..)?

Ha ha! Mulan! You watched it too! = ) Great film and a great moment you have mentioned too. ^_~

EliseBellatrix In reply to darkspeeds [2008-06-18 08:17:22 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for telling me your expierence too!

That T.E.E is like the selectivity exams in Spain. You have to get that the average of your score in that exams be equal or greater than the score established for the career you want to study. Otherwise you must to be happy studing other career with a lower score. I think this is unfair. So, I understand what you mean when you say that those years were a hell.

I'm specialised in software engeeniering and recently I've adquired some knowledge about multimedia (specially in sound). And, sorry, what did you study in university? Was something about economy and/or commerce? Or am I inventing it?

Oh! Is difficult to find a Disney movie which I haven't watched yet! Mulan is one of the most I like!
