Many do, though some ridicule me, saying all furries are gay, and do nothing but "interspecies Erotica" -.-
But others think it's cool, even those who've seen the CSI episode and the MTV special on furries, as they know that furries aren't all like that.

I will tell you the truth, i already had anti-furrys friends...
And theyre at the same time furrys!!! I really dont undestand at first, why furrys would be anti furrys at the same time.... the worst is that they over secrets avatars called the other furrys Gay or anti-religious...
Why furrys go against furrys? Thats is the motive that the anti-furrys always know all the furry sites...
One day i asked an furry about that, and he told me that is because of Yiff and an ant-god campaing...
Well... Even if i not a furry, i knew a lot of then! And of all the furrys that i knew only one was gay...
Well, its a pit that internal problems come to the world... And now everyone who arent know furrys thinks bad things about then...
I think that if we show to the world what furrys really are... The world would accept furrys better knowing that these things arent true or start creating jokes after jokes like jokes of emos, drunkers and blondes...
Thinking that of furrys is almost like thinking that emos try to be sad or never became happy... My emo friend told me that he loves to smile and love happy comedy movies, he told me that love to use blue clotes and to keep the hair shaved. Its almost the opposite of wath people think that emos are...

I know which furrs you mention. they're known as the "Burned furrs" Who are pretty much against everything furry, or will to be more precise, they are against Furrs that are yiffers, and furrs who are lifestylers. I really don't know where the line is, but as far as I can tell those are the two extremes of furrs, complete opposites, yet they hate them both.
It's how the world is unfortunatly though, people don't know somthing they shun it. However, I don't think furries will ever get good with the world any time soon. Between all the bad rep we've gotten already, and even take out the yiff, some people still think the idea of humans being animals is obsurd and against god's will, as humans are "made in the image of god".

I dont think that this is the problem, in my opnion the problem is that many persons are close minded, and want to destroy everything that is diferent.
For exemple, we have the case of Roma people (sometimes called gypsies) they were killed by the nazis and persecured by the "normal" people for many ages... Only because they were diferent...

I don't mind people judging me for who I am, nearly as much as people judging me for what I'm not. Though yea, I'd like to be accepted, you can joke about it, but to call me gay, or some guy that wants to do a fox... and then shun me away, yea, that pisses me off the most. Maybe... Why dont you try to use your imagination, and imagine that youre a fox all the time? Maybe this will bring you any felling that will less your shy...
Im not talking to you to act like a fox, or talk like that, you will change nothing of your moves, the only change is that you will see a fox in the mirror, or will see fox hands when you look at your hands...
Maybe this will make you more confident and less timid? If dont work we can try to think into something else...
You only need to remenber that there is good persons who like to help(20%), evil persons who really like to do evil things(20%) and the neutral that think that is smarter than everyone, only think of thenselfs and follow everyhting that theyr leader says (60%)

It does help, I do imagine some times, if people know I'm a Furr, then it helps, as I'm not hiding it, and I feel less burdon. I'm still nervous around the ladies though... always afraid I might do somthing to piss them off.
