"DO you think isabella and phineas should be together?"
Isabella gasped when she suddenly felt little paws wrap around her. For the longest time the child had been ranting to the little platypus about her woes. How Phineas had, yet again, taken what was meant as a romantic evening for them both,and turned it into a fun game for all the gang to join. And it had drove her so crazy, she stomped away in a huff. So when Perry showed up, like he did at the end of evey day, it was welcomed. Sure, he wouldn’t have understood- she thought- but at least he was somebody.
The rain had poured harder and harder as she worked herself up into a real crying fit. Tears mixed and splashed in the puddles, as if she was nothing but a little rain cloud.
Yet, when she felt Perry the platypus comfort her, she was snapped out from her funk. His chattering and petting of his own calmed her down. Finally, she couldn’t help but smile as she wiped away her tears. Her cheeks were puffy and red from her distress.
“Oh…I suppose i shouldn’t really worry. We’re young, after all, and he IS a boy. I…I guess if you REALLY love somebody, you can wait. Even if it feels like it’s been forever already. T-thanks Perry….Phineas will notice me someday. You’ll see.”

Isabella is young yet. Still, got to feel sorry for the desperate child. Your description captures the inner turmoil she must feel, and God bless the experienced Perry. He may not be able to give her the advice he has, but something about his little rest on her lap says a thousand words. Or maybe it has something to do with the comforting appeal of pets.

I love the way you used the light and shadow, it makes it a little gloomy, yet warm and happy at the same time, it totally fits the mood of the little story you wrote is so sweet too!!

Very nice drawing. For some reason, I really focused on the background. It's cloudy and rainy, and yet there's a bit of sunlight and shadows. It's similar to some of the rains we have in my homestate, Iowa, so I guess I just connected to that.
Anyway, very sweet picture

....i can't tell if you mean relationship wise or sex wise.
But either way, I don't see it happening any time soon. But I DO have to say, not only DO kids days younger now (I had classmates that started dating at 9), but I think it's natural for little girls to fantasize about marrying the one they love someday. Heck...i was a tom boy, an not interested in anyone, and I still planned out my "if i ever DID find anyone, which I doubt would ever happen, it would be like this" wedding.

I think I'm most bothered by that being present in the kid's show.
I mean, they already have Candace/Jeremy and Vanessa/whoever for plots about relationships (and the parents, of course, and Doof).
It also bothers me how Isabella's main motivation and defining characteristic is pretty much her infatuation with a boy.
And that's also pretty much her only relationship I can think of. I mean, I couldn't tell (offhand anyway) what her relationship is to Baljeet/Buford/Ferb.
Is there any non-romantic friendship between a boy and a girl in that show?

I did have a 'boyfriend' at that age. I kinda agreed to 'date' him because he asked me(although I thought it was silly), and we just sort of did the kind of stuff kids do, (play video-games, hunt bugs, read etc). So a lot would depend on what exactly 'dating' means, but that's sort of part of what I see as a problem.
Because I don't like the idea of kids thinking that's expected of them and hurry into it. I remember being confused and unfomfortable at that kind of a thing as a kid, because I just wanted to be friends with boys.
It's the kind of thing that should be present in kid's shows, but I kinda wish it weren't so prevalent, especially if it overrides real characterisation. Not only in kid's shows, though.
I kinda dislike most romantic subplots in movies and such if they aren't based in any real character-interaction or reason to be there.

I think the Ferb thing was thrown in there for the Ferbella fans..Plus, it's funny. But yeeeah, I know that. It's also pretty much said Ferb and Vanessa will be canon...in the future when it's less creepy. XD Plus, Doof thinks he's a hoodlum, apparently. So THAT would make it fuuuun. XD

This is the cutest thing. ;A; I don't remember if you've drawn Isabella before (or at least posted it where we can see it), but she looks lovely here. And you are so good at setting an atmosphere with your colouring. Me gusta.

Nope! Never drawn her before. I kinda jumped right into this one...whiiich made it kinda difficult to figure out how her body works. LOL. oops. I should remember to do practice sketches in the future.
Thank you, though! I feel the atmosphere is really important, when it comes to a scene. let everything tell the story, not just the characters. Nature is just as useful itself.
