Description Darkwing Duck- QuackerJack

Oh no, don't let it fool you. the mad mallard was quite content with his life. Living in the fun of the now was what he lived for. And the promises of a new game the next day was what he thought of before he lost himself to sleep. Being insane meant you could throw all caution out the window and focus on the enjoyment of the moment.

But unfortunately, like his dear rodent of a playmate, he wasn't graced with the pleasure of forgetting. Oh no, he still remembered his old life in perfect clarity. He remembered his happy, if not extremely ordinary, childhood. He recalled all the girls (and occasional guy) he used to woo in his college days as he got his degree. QuackerJack could still feel the old thrill and excitement he had when the bank agreed to give him the loan to open his toy factory. And he remembered how....HAPPY he was to see the smiles on the children's faces as they played with his creations.

Then he'd relive the day he lost it all. The sadness, the anger. What it was like to have everything then nothing because of one being. Mostly he would see red as he saw the day his sanity broke into millions of tiny little pieces.

And then he'd feel the sadness as he realized he wasn't that person anymore. Children haven't laughed at his toys in a long time. He used to know exactly what they wanted. what could make the tater-tots' eyes light up in merriment.

He'd let himself reflect on his losses as tears rolled down the side of his bill.

But just as quick as this gloom came, it would leave just as fast. And then everything was OH so happy again. Quacky liked the now. There was a new scheme to hatch for tomorrow. A new super sticky silly putty to test out on ol' Darkwing Dunce. And another playdate to make with Megster.

So yeah, the past wasn't the best...But look on the bright side, it sure as heck is funny to see how much he changed. And that's enough to make even him laugh.

"Come on Mister Patches. I just know you'll LOVE the new buzz saw I'm gonna give ya. Heh. It'll SO match your eyes! Hehehe!"

D'aww...excellent work on the text here. I can't remember if they ever went into specifics on QJ's origins beyond the general "his toys became obsolete, his company went out of business, he lost his mind" (or wait, wasn't it that he accused the Whiffle Boy franchise of stealing his customers?—I was meaning to re-watch as much of the show as possible over my winter break, but clearly I faired to do so), but that's a great characterization of him there.

Beautiful work. You do have a way of showing emotions through your art. And of course, the story is just as touching. Poor guy...
