Description
Dumbo and the Great Mouse Detective - Timothy Mouse and Miss KittyJust a random pic I did for a stranger. Mostly because I know what it's like to like a pairing that gets little love.
Hope you enjoy it, .
And pay no heed to the shitty nonexistent background. Wasn't in the mood.

Ooo, new Disney OTP. Dumbo was one of my favorites when I was a kid. I still like the song, "When I see an Elephant Fly." Before I found out that the Crows were racist. I still love the Crows, though.

Dude had so much spunk and sass in the movie! Though,I think my favorite character was the head crow, Jim. (Oh hell, i love all the birds.)

Fun fact- the guy who voiced Jim Crow voiced Jiminy Cricket in 'Pinocchio'! (Cliff "Ukelele Ike" Edwards; one of my all-time favorite performers. His singing is amazing; look him up on Youtube and iTunes!) He came to a VERY sad end...

Yes, I know. Which is safe to say that Jiminy Cricket is ALSO my favorite Pinocchio character.

I cab almost picture this couple after all Timothy was in the circus with Dumbo and Miss Kitty being a preformer as well the pairing would make sense in a way. I like this drawing alot.

It really does, except for the era and location differences. But hey, all Disney movies are connected when they live in Disneyland park! Maybe the pairing happens there, when the park closes.

I must now ship this because it is perfect.
By the way, even though I grew up during the 2nd Disney Renaissance, I always preferred all the movies made during Walt's time. Even when I was little.

I have a hard time choosing if I prefer the originals over the 2nd renaissance or not. I think both just have different elements I enjoy. Heck, I've recently discovered that I tend to say "that's one of my favorite movies!" to almost EVERY disney film. XD

I do that all the time. It keeps switching but I think it depends on what mood I'm in.

Cool It's a nice drawing. I've actually never even heard of this pairing, and I've never seen Dumbo, but I can still enjoy the pic. Nice job ^v^

Never seen Dumbo? I...I don't understand this concept. How have you missed this gem? Dude, because of my love of he Dumbo movie, my parents were able to convince I could swim JUST by putting magic ribbons in my hair. It's a big influence on my childhood.

Well, I was born during the 2nd Disney renaissance, you know with Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, all that. Although, for the longest time, I mostly watched the sing-a-long Disney videos. I would be singing along to songs I hadn't even seen the movies to XD By the time some of the classics like Dumbo, Snow White and Pinoccio (I haven't seen those two either) were re-released on dvd, I was getting older and interested things other than Disney. But I really should sit down and watch the classics sometime. Also, that's a really cute childhood story Childhood is the best.

LOL. Sweetie, you DO realize I'm not that old, don't you? In fact, we both grew up in the Disney renaissance age. (Though I was born the year Aladdin came out, 1992.) But even before i was born mom had started collecting vhs copies of all the movies out so far. She made sure we had disney in our lives. And my grandparents helped too.
It's really interesting to note how my whole family are disney nerds, though most of them hide it better than me.

Oh, sorry. I always thought you were around 25-ish. Hope I didn't offend you -.-' Btw, I think I may've gotten my years messed up. I was born in 1995, and my first movie was Little Mermaid, which was rereleased in that year. Because of that, I always think 1995 is the year the Disney Renaissance started rather than earlier. So yeah, my fault, lol.
Anyway, it's cool that your whole family still likes Disney. Other than Beauty and the Beast, my mom doesn't really care about Disney. My dad rolls his eyes at it, and my brother's growing up and getting interested in other things. However we still watch movies together when we're in a Disney mood (I'm planning on taking him to 'Finding Nemo' in a couple weeks ^v^ Brother-Sister movie nights ftw).

LOL! Why would that offend me? XD
Yeah, the vhs release came out that year (the actual film came out earlier). I also got movie for my birthday that year. which means...wow, I remember back more than I thought. I always thought i was six when i got that movie, but I was actually three...three makes more sense.
My mom triiies to hide her Disney nerd side...But put in Cinderella or Beauty and the Beast movie/cd...And she can quote it better than *I* can. Mom also had a bigger fangasm than me when I told her they were making the Little Mermaid n 3-D.

LOL. My mom's like that too, only with Beauty and the Beast. When I told her it was being re-released, she was just as excited as I was, if not more!
I remember one day, I felt like watching it again and when my mom walked into my room and saw me watching it, she started singing "I want adventure in the great wide somewhere!" XD As much as she doesn't really care about Disney anymore, we always fangirl about B&tB. We even saw the 3-D re-release together earlier this year. Just another reason why I will always love this movie ^v^

Snark, thank you. I honestly wasn't expecting to have any gift art for me. I was surprised. And you did an awesome job. ^_^

Life is all about surprises! And random acts of kindness. And inspiration. And jello.
But mostly about jell-o surprises!
And think nothing of it! I'm just just glad you liked it. I never drew either of them before, so it was a fun first. (Timothy deserves the love. The Dumbo movie in general does....As well as the Great Mouse Detective. )
