Phineas and Ferb - Doofenshmirtz and Phineas FlynnHuh....HUH. This turned out cuter than I expected it to.
Okaaaay, a post on tumblr was requesting people to draw some gay Phineas...And I literally stared at my screen for 30 minutes trying to think of SOMETHING. I mean, I don't ship Phineas/Ferb (not going to stop anyone who does though, their choice), so that left me wondering...What the heck could I DO?
Then it hit me out of nowhere- Phineas having a one sided crush on Doof, while the evil scientist was completely oblivious to it. And then I was giggling to myself as I imagined Phineas just walking into the lab, coming for a visit, and going:
"Hey Doctor D, whatcha doooooin?"
"Huh? Oooh! Red head child! Helloooo there! Nothing much, reeeeally, just building a new inatoooor."
"Sounds like fun! Can I help?"
"I suppose so...Grab me the monkey wrench, will ya?"
"Will do! Here ya go~

I honestly can't think of many pairings for Phineas that doesn't hit a squick factor for me. Mostly referring to Phineas/Ferb. Seen some cute art for them, and I see why people would ship it...but I don't do incest. Even if they aren't blood related, they were raised as family for most of their lives. it's a mental mindset as much as a biological one. But like I said, I have nothing against people who do like it. We all have our preferences, and that's what makes the world a more interesting place.
I do really like the Phineas/Isabella pairing though. It's too adorable not to like.

Agreed! I think what allures people is the "forbidden romance" of it all, the drama that would surround two step-brothers falling in love attracts them.
This, though, could even be viewed as Phineas more like idolizing Doof to the point of it being a crush...which makes it more on the cutesy side as opposed to lustful/forbidden

I think the Monogram/Doof pairing is amusing...but i can't actively ship it. For the same reasons I can't ship Carl/Monogram, even though I like the pairing. It's just that Monogram is married...And I believe in the sanctity of marriage. Go figure, I am okay with shipping a human with a platypus, who is his enemy...But I can't get myself to be totally okay with two grown men being together, just because one is married. XD Who knew I had morals?
I am surprisingly okay with mustaches and facial hair. Though, i hear it hurts to kiss. LOL
there have actually been a few AUs written from that angle. I can suggest one I really like, if you want to give it a read. i just feel no need to read it, because i feel no point in retelling a story if someone did a story that was already perfection.

I find mustaches are gross to kiss, but that's purely a matter of personal (dis)taste.
I feel the same way about Monogram, he's married and apparently happily so. Same for other married characters. Doof, I can pair with almost anyone because he's divorced.
Maybe it's because I'm married, too, that I can't really see breakimg people up just for a shipping. Except Charlene, because that's in the past and she was stupid enough to dump Doof who's one of the best TV parents around (and probably an awesome hubby too).

I'll admit, I have broken up couples before. But in hose cases, i felt it wasn't a very healthy relationship. And from what little we heard from Francis, he seems happy. I would love to actually get to see her someday.
Buuuut then we would have one less mystery on our hands. For all we know, she's only a figment of Monogram's imagination.
I don't hate on Charlene personally. Sometimes people just fall out of love. It happens. And at least she was honest about it, and set Doof free so they could both find happiness with other people. That's what i would do, if my Moonie one day woke up and told me she didn't love me anymore. I'd be beyond heart broken, but her happiness always comes first.
Charlene is really nice though, despite everything. Really, she's the perfect ex. All she wants is the best for Doof.
That said, I also like all the possibilities you can get with a divorced Doof. All the fun, without the guilt of breaking up a happy couple!
