Funny fact: this movie you reference (Bender's Big Score) is the single reason I cannot ship Fry with anyone but Leela. Prior to this I was indifferent. XD Which clearly is not the case for Bender, hahahaha. (What? I don't know)
Actually I think that movie is perhaps the pinnacle of Futurama past present and future... though that would be ignoring "Anthology of Interest" which would just be WRONG of me. I think I need to watch that ep when I go home..

I actually like Fry/Leela as well. BECAUSE of Bender's Big Score too. (I just named it that, because I thought it was amusing. Because he just knows this awkward tactic is going to work on Fry.) I actually didn't really care for the pairing until that movie. (Well...And "The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings".)
Though, to be fair...I ship many things. Heck, after Fry/Bender, my favorite pairing is Amy/Kiff. Loooove Kiff. <3 (...though, I probably lose points because my next favorite pairing is Zoidberg/Professor.

No, Bender's Big Score is the perfect turnaround title for the pic. ;D I love Fry/Leela in that movie - and it irks me that they're SUPER inconsistent with the pairing. Like, Fry is completely and utterly devoted to Leela except when it's a good story if he's not and then he's indifferent to her. I mean, it's Fry, so he could just be distracted by something that moves, and I'd accept that. ^_^ But it still makes it hard to take the pairing seriously. Then they go and make me love it just in the one movie, OMG
If you didn't love Amy/Kiff there would just be something wrong with you. XD
By the same token I don't think you possibly *can* lose points by pairing Zoidberg with anyone. Zoidberg is absolutely my favourite character, hands down, on that show. And you GAIN points by putting him in a weird, slightly disturbing pairing (by which I mean, decidedly not glamourous). Farnsworth is among my favourite characters on that show too, so even though I never ever ever want to see either of those characters naked, I can get into that pairing.

Oh yes. I loved Zoidberg from the first; he gets ALL the best lines, without a doubt. Plus there's something so lovable about him in general. Like you said, all he wants is affection. And I actually saw that comic a while ago! but somehow forgot it was you! XD I dunno why I'd forget that
