MOST of the ships were stuff I always shipped. But like you, they threw curve balls at me: Phil/Turk and Scar/Zazu/Mufasa being stuff I would have NEVER thought of. But man...they make so much sense, and are written so well that I want to see MORE of them.

I don't tend to like AUs often, mostly because most people make the characters OOC. And nothing kills a story, even with a good plot, than having characters that don't act anything like themselves. But Charlotte made it so that this may have been a different world...But it was like I was catching up with old friends. They were telling me what they had been doing, since the last time I saw them. And THAT takes skill.

I've been rereading the series too, and they are STILL fresh. And there are even jokes that went over my head the first time I read them. They are a delight, and she makes me want to help be a part of this world.

I've always been opened minded to AU's, but, like you said, there have been a few that have just completely butchered the characters. :c I understand a few changes might have had to be made to the character depending on the setting, but nothing so much as creating a whole new character! D: So yes, major props to Charlotte. She just reads into them all so well and gives them new dimensions, while still staying true to the original character, and that is just amazing.

Well, we're happy to have you as apart of it! Don't lurk in the corners so much, if I may be so bold. She really is a joy to talk too and would love to have someone else with fresh ideas.

So much chemistry between them. Even if they were just friends, they really play off of each other well. So much comedic potential and drama can happen because of their extreme personalities.

I know what you mean, even in fanfiction I never read a bad one about Lumière/Cogsworth, there was always some funny scene or dialogue; it really comes from their unique personalities

"Like" isn't a strong enough word. I ADORE them. I usually hate stories where anthropomorphic animals are turned human, and I usually despise High School AUs....But your stories were so well written, that I forgot about my peeves all together. It may have been a different world, but everyone felt like themselves. And don't get me started on the pairings! You have all my rare ships that I've loved since I was a child. (I never expected to see Bagheera/Baloo fanfiction. I've always wanted it....But I never expected to GET it!)

I'm currently on your Milton Heights story...And I also wanted to say I appreciate how quickly you update. My friend Stitch tells me when you do, and then we both just gush about each chapter. In the shadows.

So if I can do even one piece to try and convey how much I love your writing...I hope my adoration shines through. I'm just sorry that I soared through your stories, and forgot to stop and leave comments to specifically tell you each scene I love. I plan on re-reading Conference...So maybe I will do it then.

Oh, wow--I can't tell you how much it means to me, to hear that a set of tropes you ordinarily dislike were made palatable by me! That's one of the best things to hear, I think, that being a good writer made a boring or tedious plot device interesting again, so I'm really happy that I was able to make it work for you. I'm a shipper, although I try to prioritize characters over ships...nothing is more disappointing than finally finding a fic for a rare pairing that you absolutely love, and finding out that it's OOC or shallow or just poorly made. (Baloo and Bagheera are tied for my second favorite with Cogsworth and Lumiere and Jumba and Pleakley. {Scar and Shere Khan win out because they're so colossally screwed up and I adore their horrible relationship in which they can be their sarcastic, evil, bitchy selves; just in case you were wondering!} I hope to write a story soon about them adopting Mowgli and see what comes of their married life. They are perfect together and I love them.)

Oh! I'm glad to hear it! I'm having a lot of fun with it, but now and then I wonder if I'm building a good enough story--your words are very encouraging on that front! I try to be quick, partly because it keeps my momentum up so that I don't start to lose interest or quality, but also because I've got a lot of scenes in my head and the faster I get them out, the faster I get new ideas to use! As of last chapter, the story clocks out at about 15,000 words...not a bad start!

Hello to Stitch! I hope they are enjoying it as well. I'm delighted to hear that you folks are having fun with the story. If the shadows are where you are comfortable, I understand, but please don't feel like you have to stay there! I would be very happy to get to know you more.

I'm honored by your artwork and your kindness. Your comments could not have come at a more providential time...I woke up this morning feeling bad about the chapter, embarrassed, even, but your comments have really bolstered my confidence and gotten me stoked to keep working on it. And yes, I adore their stories. I saw some other Walt High fanart of them, and incorporated a little of the different versions...But I also wanted to add what I saw as I read, too. (I haven't seen anyone else give Cogsworth his pocket-watch...Which should be a criminal offense!)

But yes, I'm so glad you got enjoyment out of this piece too.
