Description Disney AU- Mr. Centipede and Mr. Grasshopper

Why? Because I'm really enjoying 's Milton Heights: Block Party. I wanted to picture what these guys would look like in her world.

And WOW....Grasshopper is HOT.

The tall one looks a LOT like Mr. Herriman from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends O.O

I'm assuming it's because of the monocle and being stuffy British...and old. LOL. I imagine Herriman would be chubbier as a human, though.Β

Just so you know, while I was reading Charlotte and your fic I kept looking at this picture to sink the fact into my brain I was reading about two humans and not bugs. Thank goodness I had that straight before I hit the final chapter or it would've been really gross instead of super hot xD

I wonder if you're gonna have Mr. Centipede take a swing at Rabbit in the next story...

Bug on bug action...Completely different kind of Β porn. LOL. Bug dick AMUSES me...Buuuut not really something I find sexy. (Though, I DO want to eventually write a story for the pairing in their actual forms. Just...not Rule 34. But hell, who knows. It's hard to tell what I will and won't write/draw these days.)

But yes! Fanart like this helps to show what we had in mind when writing. I also make sure to use descriptive terms like "redhead" "olive-toned man" and so on to help promote the human traits, as well as try to hint at what we see in our heads.Β

By the by...It is no secret, but I LOVE human Grasshopper. Goddamn, is he like the sexiest thing ever. Like, so much love for the fictional man.

As for Centipede...I'm sure he would just LOVE to kick Rabbit's ass. XD

Oh. My. Goodness.

They look amazing. Completely and totally awesome. Their poses and designs had so much character when you showed me the sketches last night, but with color--it's all so much more vibrant!

One thing I have to mention: I love the textures. Centipede's trousers make such a cool contrast to Mr. Grasshopper's tail coat...just look at him, the unforgivably poncy man! That's got to be silk!

I love how everything about Centipede curls and tightens, while Grasshopper just stretches higher and higher. It makes for such an instantaneous indication of argument and it expresses their characters so well. They are so confrontational in such different ways, all up in each other's personal space.

And Mr. Centiede is a freckly ginger. Freckly gingers represent! I love how you can see the line of his cap in his sunburn.

Yes. Mr. Grasshopper is a silver (white?) fox.

When watching the movie, I noticed this about them. Grasshopper likes to use his height to lord over Centipede, when they fight. He makes himself as tall as possible, which is funny because he already IS tall. And I noticed at first that Centipede strtetches himself to his full height to try to be on his level. But as he gets angrier and angrier...He starts to wind up until he springs an attack. If Grasshopper isn't careful, they'll end up having fisticuff on his lawn.

As for the textures...Those were actually last minute things I decided to add. The colors looked so bland and flat, so I started to think...wait...Grasshopper is a man of class. He would love to wear different designs. He would have lots of lovely suits.

Centipede's came up because I felt he needed something...Then I realizeed his pants are probably rough to the touch. And his hat too. Cheaper and rougher material, but also perfect clothes to garden in. Score!

I'm really glad you like how they came out. I had fun with them, and now it's nice to know what to wxpect when reading the story. I'll have a clearer visual, and it will probably make me fangirl and gush more. Especially when things start to get more romantic.)

Now I need to eventually do more flirty art, myself. I did a sketch last night where Centipede had taken his shirt off to work in the garden, and he says to Grasshopper: "Like what ya see, old man?"...I need to finish Grasshopper in that.

The way you captured their ways of confronting each other still blows me away. It's so damn cool. That's a hell of a lot of attention to detail and I think it's completely spot-on.
And you should probably know that the idea of Mr. Grasshopper and Mr. Centipede resorting to a physical solution gives me endless glee. I just imagine Mrs. Ladybug finding Mr. Grasshopper afterward, holding a steak over his eye. She drops her handbag and shrieks and hurries over, moving the steak and fretting terribly. "Don't worry, my dear," he says, smiling despite the colossal shiner over his non-monocled eye, "you should see what I did to the other fellow." When you're uptight and well-behaved and proper all the time, it is so nice to just brawl.

Well, they are a marvelous addition! I love the big, sweeping paisleys on that tail coat...I would want a coat like that myself! Mr. Grasshopper looks remarkably dapper. And I agree entirely--I can imagine him opening his closet and murmuring "choices, choices," looking over a enormous number of fab suits.

I like it--you really get a feel for their differences in everything about the image, but the texture adds another layer to it that really gives it an extra oomph. In just the fabric choices, we immediately get quite a literal feel for these two very diametrically opposed people.

Indeed! It will help me get a feel for how they look, too. Usually I have an functional idea of what a character looks like, but this is much more vivid than what I normally work with! I'm sure it will be an inspirational resource! (;

...oh my goodness. I am...unreasonably excited about that. Without reason. I'm just going to sit here and whimper a little. <3
