Description
The second part of a two-part commission. This is one is for ~miserythedrow and is another character migrating from .hack//sign to D&D. The character is know as Exile and he’s an occult slayer / mage slayer and that bad ass blade of his can inflict acid damage to yo bitch ass! Joseph will be adding some stories to his DA account in the near future that include Exile, so if you’d like to find out more about this character give him a dev-watch and show him some love.Here’s a juicy little tidbit that he’s already got posted: Introducing Exile - Read and enjoy!
I also feel it pertinent to mention that I was given a screen cap from a computer game as reference for the character design. As everyone who watches me knows, my gallery is pretty devoid of colors. Black, brown and various shades of grey are my dominant colors. So this one was tough for me. I actually hated the picture at first, but after adding the backdrop and the glow to the sword, I started liking it a lot more. And now, I’m quite happy with it and so is Mr. Steele and that’s really all that matters. So ner!
Shrinking it cost me a lot of details, but I hate it when people post pics with MASSIVE file sizes so I’m not gonna do it myself. D’ah well.

So that's the reason for the Critique Discouraged thing with your submissions... Never quite caught on to that (not that I ever really stopped and read those posts tho'.)
Anyways, this has to be one of your bestest best very best jawdrop-with-saliva-all-over-the-place pieces I've seen to date (and yes I look at all of them, even tho' I don't leave a comment most of the time.

Everyone seems to like this one, it's gotten more attention than any of my other commissions. Probably because it's a Drow and any sane person knows how much Drow's rule.

Wow ... I suddenly realized that when I write about Exile I have to somehow make him come off as cool as he looks. Oh my >_<; Ah well ... guess I'll have to do my best ^_^

Nah man, he sounded cool to me from the start. This line from his profile you sent me is what stuck in my mind most, "He's overly cocky, and yet it borders on actual confidence since he seems to be able to back up everything he lays on the table and claims he can do."
Those (to me) are the coolest kind of characters. I've got a few cocky bastards I RP as (both males and females) and they are my favorite characters. You just can't go wrong with those types!

I'm really trying to broaden myself up a bit. I was a lot more comfortable submitting my recent writings then I was the first one. Don't know why but things seemed to flow easier and weren't as forced, plus it leads me into writing about Misery. I soooo can't wait till April when I get my student money so I can have you draw both Myth and especially Misery. I love yerin's art work but I really love your cartoony style. Plus Misery looks a little short and squatty in that one pic in the legs, so I'm just excited to see your rendition. ^_^

I'm just psyched to (potentially) be getting another drow commission. I love drawing Drow and I've been slacking off from drawing them too much lately. No more! The Exile piece has rekindled my obsession and now, I MUST DRAW MORE!
Hey, and thanks for all the +favs too man. I have no idea if you're interested or not, but there's a Drow club here at DA, several writers are there already. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join, you don't even have to submit stuff there if you don't want to, but it's fun and you get points for it and they have contests regularly and stuff. It's also a good way to get yourself noticed and get more visitors to your own DA page because they'll list you in the members section. Both you and *Velrose would fit in nicely there.

Oddly enough our Damien's mother is a half vamp and his older brother (one of my chars) is actively seeking to become a vamp. I'm still undecided if I'll let that happen or not though. Me and spouse are actually in the process of getting back into RPing the SL with these chars, so if I can ever get caught up I'll probably draw em at some point.
