Description
This is probably one of my favourite Danny Phantom pieces I’ve drawn so far. Not only is it filled with all sorts of nice little details, it also has those two characters interacting that I most would have wanted to see more of in the series proper. I also really like the simple background here as well as the overall colour scheme.It’s still midwinter here in merry Finland and it’s snowy and frigging cold. So this piece was greatly influenced by that.
Jack and Vlad are around their mid-to-late teens here. Jack was so excited about something he rushed off without any heed to dressing properly for winter weather. Vlad took off after him, bringing Jack his scarf and even tying it for him while giving him a lecture about how he should be able to remember something so simple when his head doesn’t seem to be filled with much else anyway.
“You can’t expect me to take care of all these things for you forever. Furthermore- what are you smiling about?”
“Oh, nothing, V-mom.”
“What did you call me?!” *hits*
“Ow. I meant to say ‘V-man’. I swear I meant to say ‘V-man’ stop hitting me!”
No wonder everyone thinks they're dating...

JA vladin kuulokkeisa oleva kummitus ja Jackin hanskoista roikkuvat... Söpöä! Toivottavasti siellä ollaan oikeasti suomalaista... Hyvä idea, jonka olet totettanut kunnioitetavasti!

Kiitos kiitos~ Kiva kun niin monet on tykännyt tästä tekeleestä. Oli jokin ihme hinku tunkea mahdollisimman paljon yksityiskohtia Vladin ja Jacking asuihin.
En ihan odottanut suomenkielistä kommenttia johonkin DP-kuvaan, pakko myöntää. Mutta kun ottaa huomioon miten iso läsnäolo suomalaisilla netissä loppujen lopuksi on, niin aina jälkikäteen ajattelen ettei pitäisi olla ihan niin yllättynyt aina kun vastaan tulee joku joka katsoo samoja sarjoja.
Vladin hiukset on just sellainen hirvitys jonka on lähes mahdotonta uskoa ikinä olleen muodissa. XD

no sattu vaan ihanasti että kävin katselemaan jaksoja ihan järjestyksessä, ja sitten seikkailin välil devissä ja törmäilin pariin sun kuvista ja sit tähän, ja vasta sitten älyää että toinen on suomalainen. Osaan ^^" Ja itse asiassa eräs hyvä ystäväni on myös DP-fani, niin että onhan meitä. Mutta joskus se on harmillista kun ei löydä muita suomalaisia jotka ymmärtää ees et mistä on kyse.
Ja ne yksityiskohdat elävöittää teoksia, ja tykkään siitä kuinka olet jopa laittanut Jackille punaisen nenän. Sopii tosi hyvin kuvaan.
Niin, muta sen hiukset nykyään... ja muutenkin koko häiskä... Ihana tyyppi. Ja ei sen hiukset niin karmeat ole.

Jotenkin vähän tuntuu siltä et suomalaiset on enemmän animen kuin länsimaalaisen animaation katsojia. Mikä on kauhee harmi kun on kerran kaikkea hyvää tullut sen jälkeen kun vuosituhat vaihtu.
Kai se on sitten totta, että itse tuottaa sellaista millaisesta itse pitää. Jos pitää yksityiskohdista, niitä piirtää helpommin itse. Mulla on taipumusta olla tosi laiska taustojen suhteen, joten kiinnitän enemmän huomiota hahmoihin itseensä piirtäessä.
Vladilla on tasoa. On se kaheli kun mikä, mut myös tosi tyylikäs. Ainakin vanhemmalla iällä kun hiukset ei enää sojota pystyyn. XD

Thank you. I'm glad you like this so much. I had a lot of fun working on it. (And that's the primary reason making this was so much fun; it's just so easy to see this situation happening~)
I tried to stick to the most likely colors and clothes these guys would wear. And the scarves were something I just had to include. (Vlad totally made them.)

A good angst fic is great every now and then, although I prefer my angst with a touch of Hurt/Comfort.

I know what you mean. Whenever I try to write angst it goes straight into melodrama. I'm much better at WAFF but there isn't much story in pure Warm And Fuzzy Feelings. Stories need conflict, or they'll be boring.

Thank you. I really think it would have added a nice touch to Vlad and Jack's relationship if the show had actually shown some sort of a flashback from back when they were still friends. But, alas, we'll just have to make due with fan interpretations.
The 'V-mom' line just popped into my head when I was coloring this and then it refused to leave. XD
