Now here’s two characters that are rarely seen together in any artworks that aren’t just designated ‘girl pieces’. This is actually a team-up I would have liked to see in the series too; these two have so much bad blood between them, which is a big contrast to how well they both get along with Danny and Tucker. In fact I think it would have made a lot better ‘girl power’ episode than Girl’s Night Out.

Danny is locked in human form, unable to go ghost, and has been captured by one of enemies. Unable to reach any other allies, Sam goes to Valerie. It takes some convincing, but she agrees to take Sam along to save Danny, and they both get to see each other at their most determined and capable. They rescue Danny and have gained a new respect for each other. And then they can start to become friends or more XD.

Man, I’d have loved to watch an episode like that. Especially if it would have had these girls making snazzy comments to each other. That’s basically what I drew here, Sam criticising Valerie’s driving skills while the duo rushes to rescue Danny.

It took me some time to find all the reference images I needed for Valerie’s hoverboard, but it was worth it, since now it’s accurate and looks nice too. I used a variation of thicker and thinner lines on it and I liked the resulting effect on it. I also made the clouds look more like they do in the show. I think it looks a lot better than my previous attempt, that’s for sure.

As a side note, I used Valerie’s first costume design because I just like that one better. I’ve never been fond of the way the second one makes her look like her face’s smushed up against the visor. The original is simpler, yes, but it is stylishly simple.

Yes, I totally ship this. The canon name for the ship is apparently "Hide n' Seek" but I'd call it "Awesome Outfit" because, really, Sam? There's a masked chick tryin to off your best friend and you comment on how good she looks? Right. XD
