As for those who find this offensive, you obviously aren't out to please anyone but yourself so they can just ignore this comic instead of trying to start fights. Not that I'm talking about any specific person...Okay I am.
On a different note, TT annual #1 is coming out and it's going to have The Ravagers with Beast Boy! Also, I think BB might get new powers. He's read because of this thing in the Animal Man comics called 'the Red.' with a capital R. The main character has the powers of animals without turning into them and "can also fire blasts of force or unidentified energy". If BB's read because if this comic than his powers might be related to it somehow. I found this stuff out thanks to wikipedia.

Yes, In the aftermath I realized that what I thought was a genuine misunderstanding was actually someone misinterpreting me on purpose just to have something to complain about. I frankly can't bring myself to care about what someone like that thinks of me.
I've been keeping an eye on the events of the new Teen Titans comic, and so far I don't think it's bad. I'm kind of psyched. Oh, I didn't know Animal Man had a power additional to channelling animal abilities. Cool. I've been following the developments of the DCnU on a community and I've heard many good things about the Animal Man series. I think I might pick it up in the future.
I'll keep 'em coming every time I have an idea~

The new DC Universe reboot has changed a lot of things in the characters' continuity, and apparently there is a storyline going that might be responsible for BB's new coloration. I've never read the series where this supposedly happened (Animal Man), but a lot of people suspect it's only temporary and we'll soon get our green Beast Boy back.

BB appeared as Garfield Logan (8 years old, without powers, still had mom ((his father was not mentioned))) in a recent episode of Young Justice (Image [link] ), and was 'normal colored' with normal tan skin, brown hair, and blue eyes (which latter mysteriously changed to green...) so maybe that's what they were talking about...

There's some sort of a plotline on the Animal Man comic dealing with this thing called "The Red", and it apparently has a connection to Beast Boy's new coloration in the recreated comic universe. But that's also why people think it's temporary, because it's part of a plotline that should be resolved in the near future.

It's not about respecting the art or artist, for there's nothing wrong with your technique and I can't say anything about you personally. You seem to be learning with your drawings.
Thing is, when you do something like this when you say you love the comics, it's the biggest slap in the face to true fans. Even as a joke. It's just... no.

I'm not all that popular here, in case you haven't noticed. I just do my own thing and try to find people I can befriend. Usually that happens through seeing who shares my tastes.
I always feel like I'm learning something new whenever I draw. That's why I actually look up different techniques to use every time.
Very well, then. Then you're free to not consider me a "true fan" by your standards because I can't just change my sense of humour to suit the tastes of another group of people, especially since there being people who can laugh at this is proof that I already belong to a different group. Although I don't know how much they consider themselves to be fans, so I guess you could have a point there.
If it's any consolation, I'd never want any of this stuff to be canon. I know it would easily ruin the premise of the original product. And I guess that is the reason it's so funny to me. Because it's so implausible, if that makes any sense. I'm just babbling now.
From now on I'll try to keep my more questionable material out of communities where people are more likely to take offense. I already do so with my other fandoms, so I'll check all the clubs I've joined over and make a note of where to post and not post things. Hopefully that will decrease the chances of me ending up insulting someone's views again.

Being 'popular' here doesn't make a difference. That's what everyone does, or tries to. Their own thing. And there's nothing wrong with that.
But there is something wrong with saying you're a "true comic fan" and then turning around and doing stupid stuff like this. It's obvious that you're just trying to gain popularity this way. That, or you don't know the difference and you're just "going with the flow".
Homoerotic art involving DC characters has increased immensely since the start of the Young Justice: Animated series.

Oh, I think I get it now. You're frustrated with the increase of slash shipping in your fandom and are just taking it out on me. I'm familiar with the phenomenon. I'm going to defend myself here a bit and say that any slash I draw/write is there because of me myself and no one else, unless it's actually noted that it's a favour for someone. I've been shipping slash for years, and DC slash since I read the Justice League International run a year or so back.
The spreading epidemic you're talking about is only in the fandom, not on the show/comics proper. I don't care one bit what the individuals in the fandom are into. I fully support their right to do het/slash/femslash comics/drawings while also maintaining that I have the right to do the same.
I'm not sure your sense of humour is any less crude, since you've implied a sexual situation with a thirteen-year-old child in one of your comics. Of course, I don't see what the big deal with that is either, since Dick is an imaginary character in the first place and no one is being harmed when you draw what you draw or I draw what I draw. He doesn't need me defending his honor.
Please, please stop using the phrase "true fan". It makes you sound really pretentious. I'd expect better from you, since you've been able to discuss the matter civilly so far, not counting the veiled name-calling you've been slipping in since the beginning.

Now, about my comics. See difference being that I'm drawing him in a heterosexual scenario which is consistent with his character and overall canon. Dick is known for his lust for women and I've drawn several pictures portraying this. Whereas you are simply fulfilling your own personal fantasies.
Also, Dick is 13 in Young Justice: Animated. Not 8. You act like boys don't hit sexual maturity until they're age of consent? That's laughable. And if you're trying to imply that I'm promoting pedophilia, you're sadly mistaken.

No no no. You misunderstand. That was a generalization and mostly brought on by what the Final Fantasy fandom is like. Their "true fan" wank is what drove me out of the fandom. Can you imagine they argue over which games people are allowed to like? That's why it pisses me off. It's not you, you just brought me flashbacks.
I never said I wasn't fulfilling my own perverse fantasies when I draw slash. I was merely saying that this piece isn't for that purpose and that I don't draw slash for the sake of being one of the cool kids.
I also never said you're promoting pedophilia. Stop putting words in my mouth. I don't like it in any show when kids/young teens have subtext with anyone, but when it comes to fanwork, I don't mind it. I was trying to tell you that I don't have anything against what you draw. The fan response in general hasn't been positive, so it's vry likely that Beast Boy will be returned to his original coloration after the storyline in Animal Man is concluded. I think the reason he's red right now in the comics is to give the new DC universe a bigger sense of unity, a feel that all the stories are taking place in the same world.
