Here's a colored image of Tomoe, Takeru Takaishi's (Or T.K.'s) genderflipped version, as both the season one and two versions. The original Digimon genderflips are here:[link]

Personality-wise I see Tomoe being very much like her original version, a bit needy at first but then developing an independent and strong persona, while still admiring her older sister and hoping to become a bit more like her.
The older Tomoe is quite assertive, and is very athletic. She also has a bit of a dark side to her because of the trauma of once losing her Digimon partner. In other words, she's still very much like the original.
I wanted to show little Tomoe's hairstyle more clearly, hence the back shot of her head. Then I of course had to draw what is her most common expression before her experiences help her grow. I also really wanted to draw Tomoe's version of the "cold rage" Takeru directed at the Digimon Emperor over the use of dark powers. I think I might have unintentionally made her a touch too creepy there. XD

I love Fem!Takeru. And I'm writing a fanfiction on it, too. I just put the first chapter up. It's a rewrite of my old version.

Neat! I actually go for genderbending more when it's fanart than fanfic, but writing probably works better to flesh out how such a flip would work in practise.

Joe's gender double doesn't strike me as a tomboy for instance.

Yeah, I know. I just don't see these kids as being old enough to have that specific tastes yet. But I guess it's mostly a case of these being some of my first genderflips. I didn't want to make the characters look unrecognizable but I guess I went to other exreme of little-to-zero change. I did actually get some better ideas a short while after finishing these all. It took some time to get into the mood I guess. I might actually do a second batch later with the designs tweaked a bit.
I see Joe's genderflipped version being exactly as proper as Joe is. But there are some differences in her personality in comparison to Joe's, since in my mind Joe's brothers are still his brothers. So "Jin" grew up in a male-dominant environment.
Oh, I started babbling, sorry about that. I just have so many ideas in my head that I have trouble getting onto paper. I should probably work on this concept some more since clearly I haven't stopped thinking about it.

Maybe. TK doesn't seem the type who would be a tomboy as a girl. Davis' girl self on the other hand.

You're absolutely right about that. Actually, the two characters I'd like to redo the most are TK and Tai. The designs I made for them aren't exactly all that original.
