So............This image was a holy bitch to render. I had to sit and babysit the damn thing. Rendering a few squares at a time, saving it, rendering, them piecing the whole thing together.
Not sure what the deal was, maybe it was the insane displacement maps, but the dialogue between me and the computer went something like............
"Render the image please Hal".................
"Render the image please Hal".................
"Hal?"
"Render the fucking image Hal!"
"I'm sorry Dave, (even though that's not my name) this conversation can serve no further purpose, goodby....."
\"Hal..............................Hal.................HAL!!!!!!!\"
UGH. I think it was easier to build the damn thing than it was to render it.

Ahhhhh, Thank you for your awsome comment. I was hoping people would like it as much as I did, it's not very often I render something and think to myself 'wow, that one turned out good'
These computers nowadays, they think they have it sooo tough. LOL, if they only knew what life was like for computers 20 years ago. Yes, maybe we should introduce our computers and see what they could come up with together.
It took me about a week to build this armor, and the helmet was actually the easiest part. But I'm glad it's over, now I just have to figure out what I have to do to make rendering it easier.

The armor itself was very well done. However, if I may, there is too much glare and white effect on his armor. It needs to be more organic looking, and not like its glowing. This almost seems like it is electric.

Yeah, that was to give it an introductory fantasy look to it, but yes, I did a test render without the outline and it looked pretty damn cool, and had a darker mood to it as well. So I'm going to have to do one like that too, which means more babysitting the computer, ugh! But, I suppose we all suffer for the art at some point eh?
I am working right now on one with him and Talon, it has the same outline effect, but the one I do of him after that I want to do with a realism to it, so it won't have the outlining.
