Book project update!So while I am still working on 6 other book projects (as a job!) phew! I am brainstorming and sketching for my Phantom book. This is going to happen!
Although things are always subject to change, here's a sketch I worked on that you can compare to an old deviation. It's the same scene, but re-done and it will be colored digitally. Probably with the same sort of lighting, just a bit darker. Ah, I should probably add some candles or a lantern.Anyway, please feel free to give me feedback or just simply get excited! XD no. I just wanted to prove that I've been working on the book.
And notice how I posted the sketch for this drawing (the old one) on DA before finishing it, and I'm posting the sketch for the new one too, before finishing it?
Things have a way of repeating themselves I'm afraid.

The new one is much better, as far as angle and poses go. Brava! I really can't wait to see the finished product. We'll never get tired of seeing an exasperated daroga. Wonderful job, and much luck on the book!

Having said that, one of the things I like so much about your original version is the humor. There's just something about the Persian's "I can't believe you just pwnd me" and Erik's excited "Here's how I did it. Wasn't that COOL?!" expressions that make me smile every time. Obviously not suitable for a serious rendition of PotO, but great nonetheless.

Ohhhh that's nice that someone still appreciates the original! And that's what I WAS going for, a humorous take on the scene. But for the book, I want to squeeze some of that humor in the text, while making the picture encompass that whole conversation Erik has with Daroga at the same time. But you know that! Pssht. Thanks!
