It's World Wildlife Day!
This year's theme is all about the preservation of forests, and I thought it fitting to depict the animal who has been nicknamed the "megagardener of the forest": the African Forest Elephant.
Indeed, they are one of the most effective seed dispersers in the tropics, and there are several plant species that specifically depend on these elephants for survival.
I haven't done something this complex in colored pencils in while, and am happy to find myself not quite so rusty!
