I know the story but, as I said to other user "I want to believe that that single story is not thew same for every cubone" (seriously it would be a little absurd that every cubone lost their mothers always and always use their skulls). So don't be scared, it doesn't have to be the same for every cubone. And by the way there is a chapter on Pokemon anime series where you can see Marowak and Cubone together as mother and child, .
