Description At the center of Eludria rests the fabled Beating Heart of the World, The Tree of Life, or the Elder Tree as the elves call it. It is a massive tree that is taller then the mountains and with branches that reach into the heavens and whos roots delve deep into the earth, spreading to all parts of Eludria and beyond. The Tree of Life is a wonder of the world as is the oldest thing on the planet as it has existed since the beginning ten thousand years ago. None can saw where it came from put legend has it that an emerald star fell onto this barren planet and where it landed grew the Tree. It began as a simple sprout, in time it grew and grew until it was a massive Tree with a stone hard trunk and its branches gave a cool shade to the land around it. The roots grew across the underground and from them came the trees, plants, grasses, vines, fruits, vegetation and other flora. Then from its the Tree of Life's bark came the beasts of the world, animals and magical creatures that would populate the world, then came the immortals who would care for the natural world and finally came the gods who where charged with lording and shaping it. Ever since the Tree of Life has stood the tests of time, seeing gods wage war on each other, the world ripped asunder, seen mortals rise to continue the same wars and was struck by the greatest evil the world has ever known. Despite all that the Tree of Life continues to endure, giving life and magic to the world.

Its magic come from the leaves the fall of its branches which turns into arcane energy and is blow across the world by the wind. By training their bodies sorcerers from each race learns to harness the magical energy that flows across the world and use it to cast powerful and miraculous spells. From the Tree of Life magic is endless for all races and peoples to use, with out it magic would be the dreams of the mad.
