After seeing a drawing of my friend Qeteshpony 's OC by the very talented artist tres-apples I wondered how far I could push Inkscape to produce something more realistic. It took quite a few tricks to get this thing right, although I'm not too proud if the iris itself; that one is really hard to do without drawing brushes. Anyway, I think the result is pretty okay'ish. I used my drawing tablet in quite a few places here to get more natural lines. Overall, this experiment took me about three hours.
