Tending to stretch around with his forelegs before moving the hind pair, Aharoo-el can move flexibly even in the stifling tunnels of the warren. He's oft regarded as having an unreadable face, though it's difficult to see past his eyes; technically a dark brown, under light they appear a mesmerizing crimson.

  Aharoo-el was originally domestic; bred by humans to be sold as a commodity, he was delivered and raised in the same wooden hutch alongside seven kits from the same litter. Life was rather uneventful; always provided food to eat and water to drink, life held no danger for him. He would sit in the cage he was given, hopping from wall to wall at his leisure. On occasion something interesting would pass by—the hutch itself was situated in the humans' open yard—however the only thing to reach inside their cell was hands which grabbed at their legs and heads.

✰ADOLESCENCE:

  He didn't expect much growing up either; that was, until he met a certain storytelling rabbit. Then happened upon him one day and decided it was a great opportunity to inform his captive audience all about El-ahrairah. Aharoo-el's reaction was confusion turned to annoyance, and finally rage. Out of frustration he slammed into the hutch door, popping it open and falling onto the grass. He was stunned; not once had the humans let him out unsupervised. They'd brought him into the house from time to time, much to his chagrin; it'd been so traumatic that he'd blocked the experiences from his memory entirely. This was a new kind of freedom, one he wasn't sure he wanted. Still, he reasoned, anything was better than staying cooped up until he died of old age.

At first he attempted to avoid Then's company, however he soon realized how helpless he was alone. The sounds of Elil that echoed through the night drove him to follow the engineer back to Fuenthain. There he realized how truly limiting his life in the hutch had been; there was a whole world to explore and once he understood that any chance of his returning to the humans vanished completely.

The remainder of Aharoo-el's awkward adolescence was spent learning the ropes of the wilds. He started to come into his own during this time; learning his likes and dislikes, it was obvious leaving the humans had allowed him to become an individual. To this day he's thankful to Frith-rah for leading Then-rah to him.

✰ADULTHOOD:

Soon enough Aharoo-el was surviving with the best of them, and he became one of Fuenthain's scouts to make use of his speed. His favored missions were those involving humans as he knew how to avoid them; he was extremely ambitious, always trying to outdo his peers. This got him into a bit of trouble, though only Then could get through his ego when it came to scolding. Still the buck's efforts didn't go unnoticed and he was made an Owsla.

  Even that wasn't enough to satisfy him, and he continued to be difficult to work with. He would become over-eager, and it wasn't a problem, that is until he went to far. Doing the work of garden-raiders, fighters, and patrol became stressful; he pushed the other Owsla to the brink, and his arrogance got him beaten back into his place. For such a peaceful warren such action was drastic, yet no rabbit blamed them for doing what they did.

This caused Aharoo-el to reassess his work-ethic, though only enough that others could marginally stand him. When Then became -rah, his choice of -el was obvious. Despite his faults, Aharoo-el was a hard worker and he did his job well. With the power of -el he was able to finally take on all the tasks he pleased and no one could argue because it was actually his work to do. Still some do resent him; the buck avoids these rabbits especially, though he understands why they feel the way they do about him. So long as they do their work and don't interfere with his he has no reason to call them out.

Perfectly content with life in Fuenthain, Aharoo-el doesn't know quite what to make of their neighbor, Zayntheth; he's concerned about the proximity of their warren, as they're bound to run into each other eventually. The most he can hope for is that they're either friendly, or will mind their own business.

The thought of competing with another cat for a particular morsel didn't sit well with Fjordstance; perhaps she was simply paranoid, but she preferred to avoid even minor conflict–at least where she was personally involved. Conflict meant interaction, something she was in no mood to engage in unless necessary. A disinterested yawn escaped her lips as she concluded the reward outweighed the risk; with a quick snap removed a single, limp denizen from the tower of corpses. Its fur grated on her taste buds as the warrior moved aside to eat her fill; she dragged it by the scruff, legs dangling behind the bulbous body.

  Hesitant to bother anyone when they all had so much to do, Rutnik had spent about half the day after he spoke with Polaris trying to find their elusive Jarl. Navigating unfamiliar terrain, attempting to track his scent when it was littered everywhere, he hadn’t worked so hard tracking since he was part of the Hunt. When he finally caught up to Fable he was out of breath and ever so slightly annoyed; not at the Jarl of course, at himself for being so out of shape. All that moping sure did a number on me, he groaned. He could practically feel his flanks turn to fat as he trotted along to meet the Fellfang alpha.
